sorry guys wwf/wwe was never as good as nwo/sting/flair and those guys

that is when wrestling was at its peak, wwe was at its peak during the rock/scsa days

these days wrestling is watered down and boring

Ratings wars were awesome. I was in middle school and lived and died by monday night. I used to have two tvs going for them lol.

My favorite was easily DX as a kid though. NWO I hated them because I was a massive Sting fan O-o

I would watch the first hour of WCW then back and forth for 30-45 minutes then the ending of WCW and the rest of RAW

Do you know why it's called RAW?

its just not the same, even wwe with the rock and stone cold was awesome, not as good as wcw but still awesome

its not just the fact that we were younger, the ratings prove how amazing wrestling was back then, vince mcmahon killed the sport when he bought out wcw or killed them off

he thought he was gaining a monopoly, but the rivalry is what MADE WRESTLING SO AMAZING

vince mcmahons greed killed the entertainment of wrestling

Yep. Vince said if his dad knew what he had plans to do with the territories and beyond, Sr. would not have let him run the business.

well killing of wcw was not a good idea, i can see why he thought it was, but the fans have lost interest, wwe is less than half of what it was

1. Vince killed the territories.

2. WCW killed themselves.

3. Competition breeds better product so we do need more competition and that will make a better product. The independents are gaining attraction which helps bring in better talent. They have brought in Kevin steen and others and that's where Punk and Bryan and Cesaro Sandow Rollins Ambrose and others all came from.

However md you are wrong in saying how better WCW was.... WCW was not that much better. It was only better at the beginning because it had real wrestling while wwF had a bunch of cartoon character gimmicks and then it became better with the nwo WHICH is also what killed it too.

If WCW was as good as you think it was it wouldn't have died like it did. ECW did better than WCW per money being spent on it.

But as I said WCW killed themselves and they're ending was all at the hands of themselves and could've been prevented by themselves.

mainly the whole "nwo killed wcw" and "wcw killed themselves" part

i personally believe that eric bishoff probably paid hulk and those guys too much money, i can believe that happened and he eventually ran out

but other than paying the stars too much i want to know how wcw "killed themsleves" not saying you are wrong, i just havent researched the topic

Paying the nwo stars too much, which meant paying all of them too much.

Also the nwo stars and the other stars got to say what they were going to do. Randy savag got to say who he would work with and wouldn't and if he would win everytime or lose and how it would happen. He let ddp beat him.

Same with Nash and hall and hogan and others excpet they didn't care for the business they only cared for themselves.

Next up WCW wanted to put wwF out of business, therefore they tried going head to head with wwF AND they tried being WWF jr instead of doing their own thing.

That is why "wwf put them out of business" because WCW tried to go head to head with wwF and they lost but Vince didn't change his shit around to go head to head with WCW. Vince just ran his business and wanted to beat EVERYONE on tv at the same time slot, not just WCW. When WCW was just worried about WWF.

Also WCW had tooooooo damn many people hired.

yea i figured it was the star power, WCW was on top, but for a short time

when they had savage sting hogan nash hall ddp flair

wrestling had NEVER BEEN THAT AWESOME

fuck even booker T and harlem heat were awesome

wwf stuck to its guns and made better business decisions, but you cannot tell me wrestling is better now than it was then

No it isn't. I was debating you saying WCW was awesome and even wwF in the attitude era was good.

I'll say wwF attitude era was better than WCW prime so thats what I was "arguing" but the WCW beginning was better than raws initial beginning.

Raw is called raw because Vince used the same building then was going broke. They stripped the show down to nothing and as cheap as possible when they moved venues and started that show hence the name "RAW" it was raw, bare, nothing. :lolthumb
