It only took a year but in a memo to the teams Commissioner Roger Goodell now believes NFL players should stand during the anthem. It’s amazing how patriotic he became after seeing the popularity of his league drop like a rock. So Bucs lineman Gerald McCoy issued this warning about Goodell’s memo to ESPN’s Adam Schefter: “I don’t think guys are gonna like it. I think it’s gonna be an uproar if that is to happen because you’re basically taking away a constitutional right to freedom of speech.” Since Mr. McCoy is a bit confused about the concept of “freedom of speech” we’ll make this simple for him: 1) To earn money you take a job. 2) On this job your boss has rules. 3) If you don’t like the rules you can quit. & 4) But if you don’t follow the rules you’ll be fired. Class dismissed.
