FSU #2 in the BCS

Postby FSUseminoles91 » October 21st, 2013, 12:45 am

I can deal with that.

But it is a RAZOR thin margin with Oregon. They can easily jump us with some big wins against UCLA/Stanford. :sadyes

But I'm happy! GO NOLES BITCHES!!!! :floridast

I do not see Oregon Jumping FSU even if they do win out. Computers do not favor Oregon. Do not see their average improving enough to make the jump. FSU has to lose at least 2 games for Oregon to jump them.

Not according to ESPN's "expert." He claims there's no way Oregon WON'T jump us, since they play three ranked teams and all your remaining teams have a winning record currently. Then again, he projected Oregon at #2 today so his expertise is clearly limited.

Expert fails to see that UCLA and Oregon ST will not be ranked for long. I am looking at the end, not whats left. FSU should win out. I do not see Miami beating them.

It's going to be really, really close. A lot will depend on how Clemson and Miami finish as well...if our opponents start to implode, even if we win, Oregon will jump us.

It sucks because if all three end up undefeated, someone is going to get the shaft...a year before the playoff. :facepalm

What?

U think an undefeated Oregon would be behind a 1 loss FSU?

Right now yes, Washington dropped like a rock after Oregon beat them, UCLA will have two losses come next week, Stanford already has a loss and not sure if they can survive Oregon ST. By the time Oregon goes 13-0, all the teams they beat could easily be out of the top 20, if not the top 25. SOS could kill Oregon.

Rest of Clemson's schedule looks good for them, they should win out. I only see one loss for Miami and that would be FSU. FSU's top two opponents should both be 11-1 by the end of the season. That kind of resume would put a 1 loss FSU above an undefeated Oregon in the polls.

If Bama, FSU and Oregon all win out, FSU will need more help from the human voters or Oregon will take the lead. It isn't so much the difference in their remaining schedules, but the fact that Mizzou is currently ranked 3 in the computers. When they lose, Oregon necessarily moves up.

Right now only team i see Mizzou losing to would be A&M. But i think Johnny may implode and lead A&M down a losing path.

If they don't lose before then, they have to play the SEC Championship. In my hypothetical with Bama winning out, Mizzou necessarily must lose at least once.
