I mean, it's really no question. We just demolished the #3 team in the country at their own house...nobody has had a win anywhere near that impressive. That combined with the fact that we've been steamrolling our competition, save for the little hiccup against BC (where we still won by two TD's). If not for the Bama/media SEC bias, or the Oregon slurp-fest, I'm betting we would be #1.

I wouldn't be surprised if we jump Oregon in the BCS.

Agreed. CFB is fluid, constantly changing. If we come out and look like dogshit against NC State, then I would be hesitant to say we are the best team in the country. We still have the most impressive win, but consistency is more important. Bama has consistently played well (not fantastic, but well)...as have FSU and Oregon for the most part. But that can all change in a single Saturday. :yes
