Should NBA take the best 16 teams ?

If the playoffs started today the east would put 4 sub .500 teams into the playoffs. :thought

And still win the whole thing

But no thy shouldn't have 8. Have 6 with 2 teams getting a bye

Or eliminate divisions and conferences & seed it openly. The best 16 records make the playoffs & are seeded by record

Just let every team into the playoffs...bottom 16 seeds have to win 3 games in a row to advance, if they lose once before that time they are out :yes

they should just have a player vote on the top 16 teams that LeBron James doesn't play on to see which team LeBron plays in the finals.

8 teams is way too many teams anyway. It makes the regular season almost irrelevant. They should take the baseball route:

3 Division Leaders in each conference plus 2 Wild Cards with a play-in. The wild card play-in should be a best of 3 though.

That would put in Atlanta, Toronto and Chicago, with Cleveland and Washington having a play-in based on current standings. Each of those teams deserves to be in. It would such to be the Clippers in this scenario though.
