1. No, just confiscate the ones owned by private citizens. Keep the Airsoft, paintball, and BB guns if you want. Hell, only allow the sale of rubber bullets if you want. The idea of random civilians who can't even drive carrying around deadly weapons is a problem. See all the shooting deaths in the USA.
2. The US military is pretty good, the best in the world, according to the USA. Why would China want to invade the USA? They can't even invade Japan or Taiwan.
3. One girl was killed by a knife? That sucks. A knife has a purpose other than ending lives, however. How many people have been killed by guns? And guns can kill at a distance. There are very few people who can kill someone by throwing a knife. It's a close-range weapon that doesn't have ammo clips that can mow down 30 people in a minute.
4. Bombs are illegal and still would be. Plus it's a lot harder to create or get one's hands on a bomb. Any old lady with a functioning hand can squeeze a trigger. Even little kids kill themselves and others with guns. When's the last time a kid bombed a school? Even true crime shows rarely have bombers there. And having a gun wouldn't do a goddamn thing to stop a bomb from blowing up.
5. A machete? Good lord. It's easy to disarm someone with a cutting implement and a lot less likely to result in death. You may get your hand cut to shit, but you at least have a much better shot at defending yourself than against a fucking gun.
6. Look at the stats of countries that have outlawed firearms: there are a lot less gun deaths. I know that's hard to believe, but it's true.
7. Who is defending the shooter? He's a psycho murderer. It's just insanely hypocritical to cry about people getting murdered by civilians with guns when you reds are the ones saying they, and everyone else, should have guns. Columbine was a horrific crime and a disaster. Now school shootings are treated like it's Tuesday. Rarely do any of you reds have anything to say about the seemingly constant shootings.
