Well for starters we lost 13 guys to the NFL. Big deal most years, everyone loses players to the NFL, but this staff didn't have dept behind them and did not develop them. Secondly, dude we had like a #6 SOS this year. Thirdly and probably most important, we had arguably the worst OL in the history of College Football.

Lastly, the ACC had winning records over the Big 12 and Big 10. :dog

But.....We can't afford to fire Norvell. (and we just got a new OC, DC and DL coach). Recruiting is going better than expected so far.

I was hoping for 0-10 so we could fire everyone.

1. Fuck you. Norvell is a great coach. He just hired the wrong assistants that were previously "good enough." He's a real Nole and actually cares about the program, which is more than I can say of the last 2 HCs that FSU hired.
2. Firing everyone is a great way to make a program crap for a few years after nearly every player transfers and you have to rebuild everything from scratch.

No. Norvell is a good coach. This team was doomed from the start with a shit OL and some of the worst assistants in all of sports.

Outside of some stupid-ass playcalls, Norvell is generally pretty solid.

And sure Norvell cares, but so did Willie. Life long Nole fan and even pledged 1 million of his own money when he was the coach. Willie was just in over his head and can’t coach. Caring doesn’t mean shit. A lot of coaches care but can’t coach.

John McKay won FOUR national titles but went 0-14 then 2-12 with the Buccaneers. Sometimes you don't have the right pieces in place and you can't do shit about it in CFB until the season is over. College players can't be transferred during the season.

Nick Saban was pretty bad as HC of the Dolphins. I guess he must be a terrible coach, too. Bobby Bowden put together a 5-6 team his first year at FSU and put together three 7-6 seasons out of his last four years. Is he terrible?
