Helene is coming straight for Tallahassee.
If I don't post for a while, it's probably because my internet is down. If things go according to the forecast model, this will be the first time Tallahassee has been hit with a major hurricane since...I don't recall, honestly. They generally lose their power or have some outer bands dump rain on us. |

Muck FcDisney wrote When I retire, Imma build me one of these on the beach. Fuck hurricanes. :bringit That looks like one of the abandoned towns I've seen before. The model has the eye passing right over my home. :facepalm2 I was a little hopeful last night because it kept going west, but no... Fucking thing seems pretty damn slow, too, which is not good. P.S.: I'm uploading the picture so it will still be available once that link inevitably goes down. |

The UFO houses were never completed and look quite different, and the Logan Round House looks like a beta version, at best. Both are still cool as shit by 1970's standards. Stay safe. |

They closed schools here for TWO DAYS because of a little light rain (and some heavy rain overnight). Pussies. :jerkit

I feel bad for Perry. They got a direct hit. Also Monticello: they lost power for weeks after Idalia and then they got hit by this...
Tallahassee dodged a bullet. We didn't even lose power at my house for more than 10 seconds total. |

Get ready for round 2. And to all you Yankees who decided to stay because you feel safer in Florida than your shithole liberal crime infested state. :trollface

Leaving for Destin in a few days. Hopefully the models of this hurricane are right and it takes out all the fags in Disney and stays away from Destin. Would be cool to get some bigger waves on the beach but it may be completely through Orlando by the time I’m there. Idk

I’ve lost 2 pair of prescription sunglasses in Gulf Shores. I like the Atlantic coast beaches better. They have nice sized waves, but they are more controlled, unlike the gulf. |

I grew up in Destin/Ft Walton Beach. Grew up surfing. Waves are not ideal for surfing there. Unless a tropical system is nearby. |

I could do it, if I lived closer to the ocean of course. We just use the body board and wave surf like that when we go. Still fun though |

Bunny slopes of surfing. |
