Exactly. There are more attractive females in Miami alone than the entire Mid West if you exclude Texas

It's not even worth discussing. Nebraska is like Haiti. People know it's there...but no one cares what happens

who is including texas in the midwest??? everywhere has hot chicks though. they just aren't always half naked in other places.

We had like 3 or 4 tornadoes hit Tallahassee yesterday morning (I never actually saw them). It made the national news. Power is out for over half the city.

No real issues for me. I told my boss I was going to be late for work due to not wanting to drive into a tornado and then they closed the college. Fucking everyone and their brother were clogging up the fast food places... may still be as I only went out once yesterday. FSU's circus tent is destroyed and Dick Howser Stadium (baseball) is banged up bad enough to not have games there for a while.

Of course the only natural disaster to really damage FSU in the past 20 years is a tornado and not a hurricane. :lolthumb

Also, the Aurora Borealis was visible last night here, too. :2thumbs

They rolled through my city on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. We had about 3-4 active tornado warnings going off, and they were over North Alabama from about 7pm through 7am

You heard it here first, folks! A bunch of tornadoes in Florida are perfectly natural because it's May! The Tornado Alley is Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and Florida!

It snows a lot in winter, too. Does that mean snow in Florida is common during winter? You know a hurricane in Idaho is perfectly normal, as long as it's hurricane season!

You are so smart and so wise.

In the last 5 years and 5-1/2 months, there have been a WHOPPING 267 tornadoes in Florida. This is unprecedented!! :shocker

In the 5 years from 1971-75, there were a mere 351!

But I'm just cherrypicking...

From 1976-80, there were only 346!
Wait, let's try 1981-85... 292!
1986-1990? ...274. So close! :frustrated
1991-95? ...315.
1996-2000? ...440.
2001-05? ...325.
2006-10? ...207! We have a winner! See how rare this is, people?!? :champ

Not in Leon County. I was wrong in saying the entirety of Florida, but they're very rare where I am. 2 EF-2s in the same day and at least one lasted for close to half an hour and traveled nearly 20 miles. And in Leon Country recorded history, only 2 tornadoes before last week occurred in May. We had more May tornadoes in Leon County last Friday (3) than we had in recorded history before that (2). And they were generally more powerful (2 EF-2s as opposed to the "usual" EF-0 and EF-1s, although we got an EF-1, as well). The entire LC tornado history since 1945 looks like a single light season in Nebraska.

"Global warming is a myth!"
Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire and Massachusetts each ranked warmest while Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia and Florida each ranked second warmest in the 129-year record. An additional 24 states experienced a top-10 warmest January–December on record.

When global warming is proven true, more places are having record high average annual temperatures, and extreme weather becomes more common, it's just because it's May. :2thumbs
