Were the Thrashers ever alive? Poor guys didn't seem to get off the ground in Atlanta. That's pretty brutal for 2 separate NHL teams to relocate away from the same city. It's almost as surprising as FL having 2 hockey teams. More snowbirds here, I guess.

The city of Atlanta (AKA ITP: inside 285, with a few exceptions)is a shit vacuum. That's why the Braves had to move north. I didn't care about hockey until the Thrashers, then I became a huge fan.

IDK why people expect hockey teams to thrive south of Ohio and north of Florida (where a huge chunk of the stupid snowbirds go) anyway.
