FSU's Board of Trustees just met and basically announced they're leaving the ACC. Drew Weatherford and Michael Alford were standouts. Let's go!

I don't mind conferences for scheduling, but how they change the rules and hire the refs and split the money is a major issue. The problem lies when conferences and TV stations dictate and fabricate things for ratings and monetary gain. Fining teams for coaches complaining about ref incompetence speaks volumes about how little they care about making things equitable and fair.
It's still not as bad as the NFL. |

Pac-12 is now the Pac-4. The Big 12 will take literally anybody. :biglol
I wonder where FSU will end up. |

FSU didn't announce yesterday, so they're in the ACC through 2024.
:nancy I hate this fucking conference... and ESPN. Fuck ESPN(.com). :finger |

Fuck ESPN(.com). :finger I thought FSU couldn't afford to leave the ACC because of previous agreements between FSU/ACC. All the conference jumping right now is stupid. West coast teams should be in the PAC-whatever. When small-budget sports have to play all their conference road games all the way across the country, that's going to suck. At least the ACC won't be taking Stanford and Cal. :jerkit |

At least the ACC won't be taking Stanford and Cal. :jerkit It's the Grant of Rights. ESPN has every ACC team's home games TV rights for cheap and it lasts through 2036. Contracts can be renegotiated, but right now it's tricky to get the "ironclad" GOR settled and FSU will likely be going to court and will hopefully announce leaving next summer unless something drastic changes with the ACC. Maybe they can win the NC state lottery. It can't be much more crooked or stupid as how the ACC is run. Ways out include willful misrepresentation of revenue related to other conferences, dissolution of the conference with 8 teams voting in favor of dissolution, or playing much fewer home games and getting revenue through Big Ten away matchups. The thing that irritates me with Stanford/Cal is that Notre Dame, a school "too good"/too smart to actually join the ACC is trying to dictate what teams join the ACC. Notre Dame actually joining could have really helped with the awful deal we're in now. Basically Swofford was a fucking idiot negotiating a TV deal with (fuck)ESPN that would last 20+ years and Wilcox and Barron didn't have the sense to tell them to shove it up their ass. Of course Wilcox and Barron are not even at FSU anymore. |

Since the addition of SMU, Cal, and Stanford, the ACC has fucked up their permanent rivalries before they even really got started.
Now they have 16 "protected games" and Loserville and GT have none. :imdumb Protected: Boston College-Pittsburgh Boston College-Syracuse Cal-SMU Cal-Stanford Clemson-Florida State Duke-NC State Duke-North Carolina Duke-Wake Forest Florida State-Miami Miami-Virginia Tech North Carolina-NC State North Carolina-Virginia NC State-Wake Forest Pittsburgh-Syracuse SMU-Stanford Virginia-Virginia Tech The Athletic wrote North Carolina, Duke and NC State were the only three schools currently in the ACC that drew three permanent opponents each. The Tar Heels will keep their rivalries with NC State, Duke and Virginia. Duke has annual matchups with the Tar Heels, Wolfpack and Demon Deacons of Wake Forest. And NC State will play UNC, Wake Forest and Duke. Source: https://theathletic.com/5014713/2023/10 ... ing-model/ :finger :acc :pleasedie Yeah, these assholes are the reason the ACC is doomed. Fucktards. My favorite part of it is the FSU version that says FSU will be playing ACC teams in 2030. Veazey wrote FSU will play at SMU in 2024 and 2028, with the Mustangs returning to Tallahassee in 2026. Cal will visit Tallahassee next season and in 2028, while FSU will visit Berkeley in 2027. FSU and Stanford will play in Palo Alto in 2025 and 2030, and FSU will host Stanford in 2029. Source: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/ ... r-AA1j71Kg |

Good thing they "protected" those legendary Cal-SMU and Stanford-SMU rivalries... since neither Stanford nor Cal have played SMU in over 65 years. :crazy

Fuck the ACC refs that let North fucking Alabama take out our fucking Heisman-caliber QB with a jiujitsu move designed to hurt players and taking cheap shots on us all fucking night, including targeting multiple times that wasn't called or even reviewed. Dog shit conference and dog shit refs. When it comes to player safety, I'm not holding back. Benson got fucking speared in the helmet OOB and no call.
Fuck the worthless trash that is UNA and fuck every football program in Alabama. Alabama itself targets QBs and takes them out (Ewers, Francois) and UNA doesn't even try to hide BS fucking dirty hits: they're blatant. Fuck JSU because they beat FSU ( :lolthumb ). Fuck Auburn just because. |

Speaking of LSU, it was Dallas Turner that took out both Jayden Daniels and Quinn Ewers. It's alarming how many opposing QBs seem to get injured against Alabama, especially when it's supposed to be a close game. |

Just updated the rankings and the ACC has ruined FSU's SOS.
flst 31 24 clem 7 7 4 A bunch of 6-5 or worse teams, excluding 7-4 Clemson. What a fucking joke. I hope we blow the doors off of Louisville. |

There is a ton of traction on FSU to the Big Ten now.
This snub from the invitational is even more ammo for FSU to leave the shitty ACC and their shittier refs behind. As always, fuck ESPN(.com)! |
