I did initially but shut it down due to lack of interest.

The only possible advantage Discord could have is new blood, but even that would likely require recruiting or weeding out faggots who are easily offended.

-requires Javascript for text and spams gay little messages to boost servers.
-control is Discord's, not ours. They could ban the entire server and mods if they found something they didn't like.
-their user interface/user experience is trash on mobile and they basically pressure you to get the app which tracks your activity (usually just games).

At least one person brought up a group MMS chat. That would suck because
-anyone being added or deleted would require creating a new group and lose all of the messages from the old group.
-anonymity is borked due to giving out phone numbers, albeit it's easy enough to create a new phone number.
-no organization or certain tags like spoilers to filter what you want to read.

Outside of reorganizing the boards, this phpBB system works great for how it's used: self-governed free speech that doesn't have to answer to anyone but ourselves.
