1. Too many bowl games. ESPN created a bunch of them just so they could show more games.
2. Gay bowl names. Commercialism has lead to almost all non-CFP bowls being completely renamed to <Sponsor> Bowl. That used to be/is a joke for trash bowl games. Nobody wants to play in the Cheez-It Bowl. yet here are 9-win teams in there. Are you fucking kidding me?
3. Selfish shitbird players. Half of the P5 faggots want to "make it rain" instead of play the damn game. They don't give a shit about bowl games. They don't give a shit about anything but making a Youtube video of their greatest plays. Even fucking Clowney played in the bowl game against Michigan.
4. CFP. This really, really fucking gay system of 3 bowl games being used to determine champions has really depreciated the value of every other bowl game to players. At least when the BCS was in play players wanted to play in bowl games. Most fans want to see their teams finish with a win against a decent opponent.
5. G5 players that go to the NFL are fewer and farther between compared to P5 teams. Combined with the above "lack of motivation" and you get a bunch of P5 dildos that will sit out the games and thanks to #3, most teams won't have much depth.
The FBS is the only level of football that doesn't have a real playoff system. This is nothing more than a 4-team invitational tournament. Either get rid of bowl games altogether or make the bowl games part of the playoff system.
1. Cut down the regular season to 8-10 (conference + rivalry) games and make November/December/January playoff season.
2. Make conference champions get bye week(s) in the playoffs, depending on how many teams get in.
3. Any teams that don't make bowls can schedule another game or 2 with each other if they want to play 12 games or whatnot.
In the end, I think that would be mean more football for fans and less BS with the G5/P5 power dynamic.

I’m going to agree with this post. Welcome to the woke generation of todays sports world. We’ll see how long it last.

I also agree, but I like having all the bowl games.
I still want a 16-team playoff (or at least 12 team with the top 4 getting byes), but keep all the meaningless exhibitions too. If you cut the season down to 10 games, that's a LOT less football to watch. I'd even be okay with TWO bowl games for the non-playoff teams. Also, spring games could be actual (exhibition) games. The current format of spring games sucks. On the rare occasions I do watch, they are boring as fuck.

Moar football/bowl games. It's not like 32 don't get eliminated in Round 1.

That would make the regular season pretty uneventful when all 7-5 teams make it to the playoffs.

And Bama/UGA would play 6-7 more games than FSU this year. :sigh

I mean people insist on a playoff over the BCS, it's better than the current horeshit.
Also they wouldn't have played 12 games by the time they made the playoffs.

Forgot you said 8-10 but even then, it's just 4-4 or 5-5 teams making it.
You want to see Miss St or Vandy vs OSU?
Kansas St vs Bama?
People complain about the two playoff games being boring and blow outs... what happens when you have the top 4 teams vs #61-64?

1. Vandy isn't that good.
2. They'd be more compelling than Alabama versus Chattanooga. There are boring games every year. The NCAA Basketball tourney is full of "weaklings" that get blown out in Round 1. That's why they don't make it far.
