Well the State of Florida has yet to fix and improve on their Unemploment Insurance website and response time.
Had to fill it out 3 different times before finally being accepted and have been waiting 6 weeks and counting for 1st check. The govenor and state has known of these problems for over a year now and still not corrected.... Thanks Govenor DeSantis for all that you don't do...worst govenor ever.

It’s not always that easy.

My neighbor has been furloughed since April 2020. Her job is safe but she’s permanently furloughed until they call her back. She still gets health insurance. She gets the unemployment referenced above.

The issue is if she get another job she no longer gets the insurance. 20 year employee not necessarily looking to change careers or get a part time job to screw up insurance for her and her daughter.

Seems like another broken policy.

How important is health insurance really? She can’t go a year without dying? She will be eligible for health insurance from the new employer. I have no sympathy for people on a year long paid vacation. The benefits should have stopped 6 months ago and people should be forced to open up or find something new. Fuck furloughed since March or April. Fucking pussies.

I need some yard work done since I’m already paying her.

Considering she lost her daughter at age 4 to a rare disease that her other daughter now 11(twins) carries the same gene for, I’m gonna give her a pass on needing insurance. They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on her deceased daughters care.

If it makes you feel better, she is getting real estate license as a back up.

Not to mention Central Florida has the higher unemployment rate in the state with our county being the worst county.

Would you go bag groceries in lieu of unemployment and free health insurance?

My wife started having seizures in her teens and she still has them. Without her expensive ass medicine she’d have them all the time but luckily it’s been every few years right now.


Having insurance means staying out bankruptys, without health insurance (especially for a family) you’ll most likely end up hurting very much financially.

My dad hasn’t been to the doctor either except for life threatening emergencies (electrocuted while doing powerline stuff and extreme alcohol poisoning which almost killed him) but I don’t think that makes him
belong here at all. He should’ve died along time ago.
