Players going pro early because they're just good (FSU had a ton of guys leaving early before we started sucking, probably more than 5/yr).
Recruiting has improved, and guys who were once starters (or were projected to be starters this year) are now senior backups.

Also, I think Franklin is kind of a dick, and told a bunch of these guys they would be starters, when he knew most would probably just add quality depth.
