I decided I was gonna get stung by a jelly while out on a boat today (also tried getting bit by a blood worm and it wouldn't bite) and I've picked up 4 jellyfish so far and none have stung me. What's up with that?

Crap shoot.

We just started getting them here in NJ as the weather heats up they're more prevalent.

Man-o-war washed up on a local beach and those will kill a man.

:up

Learn something new every day. I was grabbing these fuckers out of the water in a back channel in brackish water in the Chesapeake bay. I of course started out very small but increasingly larger, they would latch on but never stung me.

I'm like goddamn spongebob square pants motherfucker

I knew some were more lethal, painful, etc... Didn't know there were ones that didn't sting.

Yeah, I was putting my hands in the water and letting them attach to my hands and then float right in and picking them up out of the water and would hold them anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 min or so
