Joe Torre replaced Bobby Cox once as a manager for the Braves. Both went on to become Hall of Famers. Torre exceeding Bobby's initial stint as Braves manager. More to add to this. Mickey Mantle replaced Joe DiMaggio. Mantle was 1st ballot HOF 88% where as Joe was 3rd ballot HOF 88%.
