After last year and the contract issue I would bet Jimmy was ready to go...getting Max and a first round pick is not at all a bad trade for the Saints. I think they try to trade Brees too, and go into rebuild mode. I've heard a ton of rumors of talks between Tampa and the Saints. Something like Brees for first round...which honestly I'm 50/50 on. With Evans and Jackson....Brees could honestly get us to the playoffs next year if we added a few pieces on defense and traded for a upper tier offensive tackle or got lucky in the draft and landed a rookie starter. Sounds crazy...but Brees with those two WR's would immediately spell a dangerous offense.
