Are Special Teams Coaches...Special?

If you catch a kickoff in the endzone, take a knee. Returns out of the endzone rarely make it to the 20. Why not take it at the 25?

Only 10 teams averaged >25 yards per kick return last year.

I :mad every time one of our players takes it out of the endzone. But I really do think our ST coach is special considering PR have plagued our team for almost 3 years now.

Every player thinks they will make The Play everytime.

AND even thorough you might make it to the 17-20 instead of the 25.

Most coaches would probably take this.

How many kick offs in a game? Lets see Bama had like 6 I think and a&m had 7.

So Bama could've had

25
25
25
25
25
25
25

Or

22
16
18
28
TD
35
12

Which would you rather have

We're talking about A&M's defense here. You should score on every drive anyway.

Running kickoffs out of the endzone is like:
-a pitcher swinging on a 3-0 count with the bases loaded and no outs
-fielding a punt inside the 5
-playing the lottery because Gym claimed he won
-predicting a 14-0 record for your team every year
-going for it on 4th and 20 from your own 5 in the first quarter

Sure, it might work out, but the odds are very slim.
