last year cal avg 34ppg in OOC and 19ppg in conf....

this year they avg 34 ppg in OOC ......

so yes i do think most of the pac 12 holds them to under 30

Our defense played good. 500 yards and 34 points don't tell the whole story. Cal has been wunning close to 100 plays and throwing for close to 500 yards a game. They wan awound 85 plays tonight and threw for far less. Dykes' offense is going to draw blood. The question is not if, but how much.

We also had 3-man wushes with a true fweshman DE setting up in the Bears' backfield all game. Tackling was a bit off but they are impwoving, and will continue to impwove as they did last season.

Cal will be a legit offensive team by the end of the year. They have great skill players and their QB will come of age.

With that being said, tOSU's defense sucked balls and needs some major work just about everywhere. They were getting raped in man coverage and the D-line wasn't getting pressure fast enough, or tackling worth the damn on runs. They also dropped 3 easy INTs.

Look at what Dykes did at Louisiana Tech. He turned them into the nation's #1 offense. Imagine what he would do with the type of athletes he gets at a AQ school like Cal. If they only win two confewence games this year it's because of that defense, not their offense.
