Historically? If we are talking about College and NFL then...

1. Joe Namath
2. Archie Manning
3. Bart Starr
4. Kenny Stabler
5. Peyton Manning

Recently I would say

1. Peyton Manning
2. Matthew Stafford
3. Cam Newton
4. Jason Campbell
5. Tim Tebow lol he does have a playoff win so he's valid.

Honestly recently, Eli Manning with 2 Super Bowl rings is better than 2-5 on your list by far. Cutler is better than Campbell.

archie manning over peyton manning....

Peyton Manning is by far the best QB ever to come out of the SEC. The only guys who are in contention of being in the same league with him overall came from Southern Miss, Pitt, Notre Dame, and maybe... maybe... system qb, Michigan.

I'd have to agree with you on Peyton being number 1 all-time. But look at who made the post, of course he puts turd QBs ahead of Peyton. He also forgot that Frank Tarkenton played at Georgia as well.

1 Super Bowl win... against a team that has recently been quite mediocre in the NFL the past 15 years as far as Super Bowls go

1 Super Bowl loss... against a team that didn't even have one in their entire history

9-11 playoff record

EIGHT First Round Game losses

Sorry but those are the facts.

But yes, he probably is the greatest QB ever to play the game. No way am I dissing him at all, just stating my reasoning for my opinion.

I assumed since this was on CFB board, we were talking about SEC QB's while in college. Eli is not on that list. If we are talking SEC QB's performance in the NFL, then sure.

Football is a team sport. Peyton manning is the greatest individual to ever płay the sport. Period.

He was worth 12 wins alone. His shit team didn't even win 1/4 of their games when he was injured. Brady's won 11. I don't care how many times that far superior team beat the colts cuz it doesn't make anyone better than Peyton manning. Was ladanian Tomlinson a shitty rb? Is Adrian Peterson? Oj Simpson?

Is joe Namath better than anyone? Fuck no

He did pretty good in SEC play. He played at Ole Miss. What do you expect? He lead his team to 10 wins there. That is almost like a NC anywhere else.

He is not the best! Not even close. This isn't horse shoes. He'll, I'd take Jay Barker over Eli as college goes.
