And again, I ask: why is FSU not ranked number 1 right now? Toughest schedule of the three, and they've absolutely decimated the competition. There is no logical reason.

Two wins over top ten teams (at the time), all done in a dominating fashion; tougher overall schedule...still behind a team whose only credible win is a 2-loss TAMU (barely) and one who beat a so-so UCLA.

Human voters are douche nozzles who think the ACC is a joke because FSU crushes top 10 teams.
Meanwhile Alabama barely beats 2-loss TAMU and crushes pretty much everyone else and they're "legendary."

How are the SEC East teams playing stronger SOS than the SEC West teams?

I know UF played Miami and plays FSU, but still.

OOC blows for those teams. TAMU looks like dog shit when you look at their schedule so far. 0-2 in games against legit teams, almost lost to Ole Miss. Alabama's OOC might be worse considering BC's offense scored more on VT than Bama's did, GSU is 0-9, and Colorado State is 4-5. For LSU: TCU and UAB suck. Auburn hasn't played many real teams, either, and lost to LSU.

It's the OOC slate that makes the difference in the schedule strengths.

They have Oklahoma this week, then Texas Tech, Oklahoma St, TCU, and Texas. Only TCU is bad.

Even if we win out, and beat 3 more ranked teams people will complain we shouldn't be number 1 or even number 2.

The Alabama hate machine is glorious.

Well its not you guys fault that vt has lost two in a row

that was your loan hope for some ooc sos respect

however in the real world you guys are good as long as you keep winning

If you guys can beat LSU and Barn as convincingly (or similar) to us, then you'll have a case. Until then, you don't. Now if you just barely scrape by...then ehh, there could be a healthy debate on who has the more impressive resume.

It's no hate. I hold no ill-will towards Bama and under normal circumstances, I root for them...but rankings need to be based on THIS season, and based on this season alone (so far) Bama has not earned the number 1 spot, in my opinion. That could certainly change with convincing wins over ranked opponents, but as it stands now I don't believe you should be gift-wrapped a number one based on performances in seasons past.

Tennessee - 8

If Tennessee wasn't in the sec (and didn't schedule Oregon like tards) we'd be ranked as high as Baylor

FSU fans. which would you rather be, #1 during the middle of the season or #1 at the end of the season? Just keep dismantling every team you face and you will get your shot to be #1

2004 Auburn. 2013 FSU is in that exact situation right now, and it's seriously ridiculous given whom we've played and beaten compared to Alabama and Oregon. The fact that Alabama still gets so many first place votes truly disgusts me and makes me hate people on here that think Alabama should be #1 until they lose WHEN LAST SEASON DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS SEASON! At best Alabama should be #2 based on what they've done this season. Their schedule is a bad joke.
Human polls are totally screwing us. You'd be pissed, too, if your destiny was in the hands of people who think that pedigree is more important than performance (and Oregon doesn't even have a decent pedigree).

Not unless Oregon or Bama lose... or look really, really bad.
