Why does ESPN keep saying Georgia is already in?

So it wouldn't matter if Texas won by 40? What if Beck got injured and they lost by 20 to 40 to Texas?

Why would they be in?

Why did Wisconsin 2017s loss matter then? If CC game losses dont count now. Wtf is going on with this bs they change the narrative every year for SEC.

They just said Tennessee clinched with this victory.

I haven't watched the CFI in years. Fucking joke of a system. As lame as the bowls were when there were 3+ undefeated teams, the playoffs have been worse when it comes to controversy. Give me the early BCS over that shit all day fucking long.

EDIT: I made this before reading the last post about bringing back the BCS. The early BCS which depended mostly on computer rankings was the best.

That should be more exciting, not less. Anything can happen (except Boise winning it all :dog ). I like that more than only 1 or 2 teams having a legit shot.

However, South Carolina and Miami should both be ahead of Bama (even if Miami is a dumpster fire after October, as usual).

SECt has the highest-ranked 1-loss team, the two highest-ranked 2-loss teams, and the three highest-ranked 3-loss teams... :jerkit

Why should USC be above Bama?

South Carolina - 25

Alabama - 27

I guess Bama should be above c

1. Home field advantage is typically good for 3+ points.
2. South Carolina has won 6 straight, including beating the shit out of two teams that beat Bama (beat Chokelahoma by 26 and Vandy by 21).
3. Bama got blown the fuck out by 6-6 Oklahoma just 2 weeks ago.
4. Bama also lost to 6-6 VANDY!!! Bama is the only team over .500 to lose to VANDY.
5. South Carolina played a tougher schedule.
6. Bama didn't deserve to make the playoffs last year, either. Time for payback.
7. Did I mention Bama got destroyed by 6-6 Chokelahoma and lost to 6-6 VANDY? That's a questionable playoff resume for a team with only two losses.

Not only did you lose to Tennessee, but you also have a worse record.

I was thinking ut had 3 losses so I was wrong there.

I’m not saying we deserve it, what I am saying is that there is no definite #12 team

We beat USC

We have the same record

And we have the harder SoS

Your first link is a joke. Your second link shows USC with the 15th-toughest SOS, and Bama at 17th.

Reasons Bama should be ahead:
1. Won head-to-head... at home... by 2 points.
2. Media bias (not a legit reason).
3. Money (not a legit reason).

Reasons USC should be ahead:
1. Home field advantage is typically good for 3+ points.
2. South Carolina has won 6 straight, including beating the shit out of two teams that beat Bama (beat Chokelahoma by 26 and Vandy by 21).

Head to head is basically a wash since it was a home game for Bama. Reasons 2-5 should easily outweigh any argument for Bama.

Clemson beating SMU should 100% remove both USC and Bama from the playoffs... but fuck Clemson. :finger

USC doesn’t deserve it
Bama doesn’t
Miami doesn’t
Clemson doesn’t

Too bad there has to be 12 teams.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. Initially just more SEC/Big10 bias but now we’re gonna eventually see a 3 or 4 loss NC who got waxed by some 6-6 team.

We’ve seen it with the Giants in the NFL. Not exactly the same because all the teams are more equal than they are in college, but still the same.

Joke link has Purdue SOS at #69.

Ranked teams Purdue has faced:
#1 Oregon
#3 Penn St
#4 Notre Dame
#7 Ohio St
#9 Indiana
#21 Illinois

Joke Link has Texas SOS at #4.
Ranked teams Texas has faced:
#5 Georgia

Purdue has faced twice as many ranked teams as teams Texas has faced over .500.

It's a joke because it's laughably retarded. Try defending that shit.

Bama lost to Vandy :ROFL

We've seen it with the Giants in the NFL. Not exactly the same because all the teams are more equal than they are in college, but still the same.

This is yet another reason I'm steadfastly against this broken fucking CFI: the more shit teams you include WITH NO REAL REQUIREMENTS TO GET IN, the worse it is and more controversy there's going to be.

I mean at this point I think the CFI committee is being malicious trying to drum up more controversy, more clicks, more stupid assholes to watch a team that didn't earn a spot play.

I have little problem with the NFL system because every fucking team that gets in gets in on meeting certain conditions that are completely transparent. The only real conditions the CFI has is P4 conference champs (now) get in with a bye week. I'm pretty sure that's why (fuck)ESPN helped dissolve the Pac-12: You can't easily do a tourney with bye weeks with 5 conference champions.

It's also possible they're this incompetent, but after last season, I am chalking it up to corruption and greed. I still can't get over how the CFI selection chose 4 teams that covered all their major markets: SEC/East Coast, Texas/Southwest(basically just Texas), Washington/West Coast, Michigan/Midwest. If you put FSU in there, the SEC crybabies would probably not watch it...much. The horseshit committee would rather piss off FSU fans because while we have a huge fanbase, it's not as big as Team SEC's fanbase of knuckledraggers.

CFB never should have moved away from the BCS computers. Fuck you, ESPN, NCAA, and college sports corruption in general.

I don't know if I said it here before, but the best part about FSU being awful is that we don't have to worry about getting screwed by the fucking shitstain jackass committee. I sincerely hope every member that put 2023 FSU below #3 watches their entire family die slowly and painfully. Not joking.

You're probably behind Clemson (if they win), Bama, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and BYU.

Losing 2 of your last 3 and no wins against ranked teams doesn't help. :no

We didn’t lose at home to unranked teams like a few others did. I won’t be disappointed if we don’t get in.

Atleast we didn’t lose 10 games :dog
