FSU won the national title earlier and today FAMU won the HBCU national title 30-26 in the Celebration Bowl.

13-0 (FSU) and 12-1 (FAMU, only loss to a higher-division opponent) are a bit different than 5-7.

I didn't make up the HBCU national title. It's weird that the SWAC and MEAC have their champions meet in the Celebration Bowl instead of going to the FCS playoffs, but it's been a thing for a long time. If dominoes keep falling like they are in the FBS, it will be something similar with the B10 and SEC breaking off and creating their own thing.

It's going to be interesting watching FSU's scout team offense in the bowl, though.

Once Coleman declares for the draft, FSU will have no one with more than 1 receiving TD and no one with more than 4 rushing TDs playing in the bowl.

If we put up 17 points (like Bama did against mighty USF), it will be a miracle.

Below is a comprehensive list of teams that failed to score at least 21 against USF:

Alabama
3-9 Charlotte

USF allowed an average of 35 ppg this year, including 59 against Memphis, 56 against 4-8 UAB and 56 against 4-8 FAU.

Even the aforementioned FAMU scored more against the mighty Bulls than Bama did.

Damn... Luckily Tenn is playing Iowa and even their starters can't realistically score more than 20 points a game.

UGA is losing a ton of players to the portal, too, but I have a feeling their backups are more talented than FSU's considering they've had years to build depth under Kirby while Norvell has been using the portal a ton to get starting CFB or NFL talent after the burnout and scrub coaches FSU went through.

It's still funny to point and laugh about how UF scored one measly TD against Charlotte. 22 points, 5 FGs, 1 TD at home in a pay game. And there is still a contingent of Flarduh fans that actually think Napier is the answer.

"Bama is just better!" :imdumb -Kirk Herbstreit (5-11 career TD-INT ratio)

I found it pretty funny that Herbstreit had a total meltdown on Twitter because someone complimented his dog and then complained about how FSU should be in the CFI. And I believe this was after the dumb shit posted how Pittsburgh was playing New England in a "great game" with backup QBs. Bitch should have deleted his Twitter account at least. Dumb fucks in their ESPN echo chamber had no earthly idea how badly the committee's decision would be received. I think all the celebrities singing "Imagine" during the first month of COVID went over better, only the celebrities thinking that was a good idea are significantly more intelligent than 98% of Bama fans.

Iowa can't throw the ball more than 10 yards anyway... and their WRs all run a 4.7 40. I'd use a 7-4-0 defense against them. :rockin

Can’t tell exactly but looks like not a single NFL bound Dawg is opting out of the Orange Bowl for NFL. Meanwhile we have about 10 or 12 sitting out. Kirby about to make a very stupid statement. Part of me hopes about 6 to 10 ACL’s are torn on Kirby’s roster that night but I’m not like that.

QB1 - Out
QB2 - Out
QB4 - Out
Note: No QB on roster has a career TD pass

WR1 - Out
WR2 - Out (also one of the better punt returners in the country)
Note: No WR on roster has more than 12 rec this season

RB1 - Out
RB2 - Out
RB3 - Out
RB5 - Out
Note: RB4 and RB6 have a combined 27 carries this season

TE1 - Out
TE3 - Out
Note: TE2 is our leading receiver going into the bowl... with 19 receptions (less than 1.5 per game) on the season.

This is a scout team offense. I will be shocked if FSU scores more than 3 points in the first 55 minutes.

I'm thinking 31-3 at halftime. 48-6 final. And this is with UGA playing their 2nd/3rd string all of the 2nd half. :surrender

Root against Bama, but hating them for winning is crazy. They didn’t pay anybody off, they didn’t do anything illegal, they won and the committee and espn got them in. Bama did nothing nefarious to warrant hatred. ( not that I care ultimately if anybody and everybody hates Bama, just having a discussion)

Again I would definitely be rooting against Bama if I wasn’t a fan of Bama, but I wouldn’t say I hated them for it. Hate the committee and hate espn. Even the commissioner did his job which is fight for his conference, and hopefully he’ll be fighting for FSU soon.
