CFB rule changes and it’s effect

Postby JdPat04 » August 27th, 2023, 5:38 pm

Opening weekend, number of plays are down 7.8% and run time is down less than 2%

They are really fucking up cfb. All they did was make it where they can show more commercials

Yay, capitalism!

I also love the fact that the season is longer for any team "fortunate" enough to make the second round of the playoffs.

Yeah, I’m hating the greed that this country is filled with.

We'd still have the commercials without capitalism. They would just be commercials about how we all need to work 60 hours a week for the greater good, why government bread is so healthy, reminders that many medical procedures are not necessary (reducing your suffering is insignificant to the state), and how we have always been at war with Eastasia. Hell, we might not have sports at all. Entertainment takes away from time that could be used producing for the state. Ah, utopia.

If you play sports, and you're not happy about the opportunity to play more sports... why are you playing sports to begin with? :dunno

Yeah, but they wouldn't be for tampons and pharmaceuticals.

I seriously cannot stand TV commercials anymore. I've been using an online adblocker for decades and thank Christ I have because 99.9% of commercials are unwatchable. I swear if I see that Dr. Pepper Fanville B.S. one more time...

Tampon commercials do nothing for me of course, but I don’t hate them. I do despise pharmaceutical ads and think they shouldn’t be allowed.

It sounds like the NCAA is afraid of the high powered Tennessee offense

I'm wondering if this is actually going to make things worse. I noticed a lot more hurry-up offenses today. I think players are going to get exhausted more easily at this pace because they're going to try to make up for the clock changes. When did UNC and SCAR become HUNH teams?

Honestly flopping just to stop the clock might become a thing on offense, which is insane to me.
