It was supposed to be something fun for the fans. It looks kinda dumb from the outside but you were able to donate set amounts like 52.49 for the score of the game and 15 or 16 because of the years it’s been since we beat bama. I guess it’s still kinda dumb but it wasn’t some “hey y’all torn down the goalposts and now you need to pay for it” bullshit

The way they first posted it kind of led it that way but yeah they used it as a fundraiser, and as you pointed out, their options for donations was quite funny.
