As long as it clears, who cares? You know they'll be motivated to play once they collect their NIL money. Just look at TAMU!

On a serious note, the XFL (1.0) did it better with their contracts for players and coaches. CFB head coaches should be the same. Have a decent base salary (like $3M) and then get performance bonuses, like $100K-200K per win, $500K for a conference title, or $1-2 million for a national title. You could also give academic incentives, too. I may be behind on inflation for coaching contracts.

The only negative I can think of is some more stress on coaches and maybe more yelling at the players for losing. Better yet instead of per single game win, make it something like bonuses at 6 wins, 9 wins, then bonuses per win after that.

McCall looked like a lame duck out there. I hardly ever heard his name called this year even though he was evidently on the field in 8 games? He sure wasn't a great PR/KR.

There’s a theory that Hunter and McCall had this magnificent plan to run things in Tally together. Then Hunter bailed on him for Deion. MCCall was terrible and more than likely given more PT than he deserved to ease his fragile ego. If you didn’t see his Twitter live clip, it’s pretty funny. Good riddance.
