Honestly think Kiffen would be good for FSU.

1. He was with Alabama, USC etc in their prime so he has been around the best and knows what they do.
2. He has made FAU pretty damn good for what they were.
3. He has been in Florida a few years and probably knows how to recruit it and I am sure he spent some time recruiting here for Alabama and USC.
4. I think he fits FSU well because of his cockiness and lawlessness that the FSU program has always embodied when they were good.
5. He is an offensive guy and the FSU offense has been horrendous the last few years.

I heard Norvell, too.

FSU hasn't hired a good coach since 1976. :facepalm2

Absolute trash.

Jimbo Fisher is a good coach though.

He’s a quitter and other things but he’s still a good coach.

Pfft. Faggart could have gone 7-5 with that schedule. 5 ranked teams, 7 garbage teams. Who was the best team they beat, 6-6 Mississippi St? They beat 2-10 Arkansas by 4 points!

At least FSU didn't pay their coach over $1M per win.

If it was anyone not in a conference championship game, it would have happened by now. :sadyes

I guess we can hope Norvell is more like a Matt Rhule or PJ Fleck, and less like Tom Herman and Scott Frost.

ONE good thing about Norvell: his assistant coaches keep getting poached (mostly by SEC), but it hasn't affected the team. And hey, at least we'll be paying him around $3M/year (I'm guessing) instead of taking a gamble on some guy we have to guarantee $6M+ for at least 5 years.

We took 'Barn's OC instead. :dunno

Only matters from a recruiting perspective, really. Malzahn calls the plays, and Norvell calls the plays.

When has Auburn ever been better than they have been under him? Besides a 1 year flare up with Cam Newton or something.

Do we get Lanning (UGA DC who worked under Norvell from 2016-18 at Memphis) next? :popcorn

I thought we should have taken Coley off of UGA's hands as well. Awesome recruiter (which we need), horrible OC (Norvell calls the plays anyway). We get a bump in recruiting, and UGA's offense win would be better by default.
