Yep - 2017 BAMA

Best team in the country but not even the best team in their Division..... :thought

that was a fluke and one of the reasons i am a massive proponent of removing the divisions within conferences. turn it into a round robin style system that pits the two best teams via rankings/record. period.

while i see your point, and it is hard to argue against it, bama had one loss. it wasn't like they had lost to a bad team either. someone had to go that year and Bama made sense.

True - but the argument also involves the premise that BAMA sitting there with one loss did not play for the opportunity to have a second loss (SEC CG) like some others did. Add to it their loss was their last game of regular season.

BAMA could just sit out the CCG every year with this mind set and given they are a shoe in for the playoffs with 1 or 0 regular season losses.

no, that would ONLY happen if they are sitting out due to taking their one loss to a team that superceded them in the race.

meaning, if Bama lost to a losing team in the SEC there is no reason for them to be in the final 4. just as OSU wasn't considered and should not have been.

BUT!?

as with the example you are providing, Bama lost to a team that played for the SEC title and was ranked highly.

a third option would be had Clemson lost to Pitt. then? that would have really been a mess. LOL.

They could sit out every game and still would get in at 0-12 the criteria is the best 4 we know that Alabama is 1 of the best 4 right?

I’m not arguing your point of if we didn’t win our division we shouldn’t be in.

I will ask you this. (Pure speculation)

If Alabama and auburn played 10 games at Bama last year what do you think the results are?

10 @ Neutral site?

10 @ Jordan Hare?

I’m sure we were the best team last year, just not on that day in Jordan Hare. If that had gotten us left out then I would’ve been okay with it as I said before.

The same thing that if we are honestly speaking OSU is clearly better than Purdue but they didn’t beat them.

Auburn wins more than loses for sure they dominated them and Alabama sucked on offense pretty much most of the season.

FSU doesn't belong in the Top 25 next season unless they've won 8 games which is unlikely. Even then putting an 8-5 team in the Top 25 is a stretch, too.

It is FSU they are always preseason top 25 then suck most of the time. Other than the 2 Jameis Winston years FSU has been good at best a couple of times and mostly mediocre but are still put in the top 25 every year like its the 90s for some reason.

That’s crazy.

Even crazier we have as many NC’s as you in the last 20 years or even last 5 years.

Yea 2 good seasons in 20 years. OSU has only lost more than 2 games once in the last 10 years. FSU loses more in a season than Ohio State does in 5 years.

Only 2?

That's funny. Do you hear the stupidity that comes out of your mouth most of the time? Serious question, please answer.

Luke Fickell and 2011 says hi.

In the last 20 years we have played for 4 NC's and was in the playoff for a 5th. Won 2. NC are what it is all about. Are you patting yourself on the back for 10 win seasons. That's cute.

Why is everyone putting Georgia at 3? They imploded, Ohio State returns almost everyone that matters but Haskins and Campbell, they pick up Fields and Martell was competing with Haskins for the starting job last year so he is obviously good too. Georgia just lost Fields and like 5 players to the NFL early they were also overrated as fuck all season.

Florida wins the east next year.
