The only thing Odd about that poll to me is not including Miss State and Kentucky.

Why is everyone putting Georgia at 3? They imploded, Ohio State returns almost everyone that matters but Haskins and Campbell, they pick up Fields and Martell was competing with Haskins for the starting job last year so he is obviously good too. Georgia just lost Fields and like 5 players to the NFL early they were also overrated as fuck all season.

Florida wins the east next year.

How is losing Fields and his garbage time stats going to hurt UGA?

If the NCAA grants him a waiver, it would be a joke and a disaster. I hope they're smarter than that (they're not).

UGA has been recruiting much better lately, and replacing 4* Jrs with 5* sophs isn't going to hurt that much.

You don't think losing Herban will hurt tUOS at all?

1. Honestly I hope fields has to redshirt because I don't want a QB controversy, Martell will be great and if he tears it up for a year Fields has no choice but to stay then we get 3 great seasons out of this instead of just 1 or 2.

2. In the long run losing Urban might hurt but I don't think it will this year even guys that ended up sucking in this position tore it up for a year or 2 at least. Helfrich, Coker, Lincoln Riley, Gary Shaw, Les Miles all did well taking over stacked teams for at least 2 years.

3. He fired the 3 defensive guys and replaced them already so I don't see how the defense can be worse especially since pretty much everyone returns but Bosa and Jones.

4. The offense is still loaded, KJ Hill, Dobbins, 2 super talented QBs in waiting then a plethora of other guys like McCall, Victor that will be good.

How has Georgia been recruiting better lately? OSU had the number 1-2 class last year and the best player from Georgia's class is now on Ohio State. Ohio State is lower in rankings this year because they didn't need very many players because we only lose around 15 guys, the players that we did get are fairly high especially if you include Fields.

Miami and Nebraska should be in no ones 1-25. period.

UCF should not be in the top 20 until after beating power 5 teams in real time.

notre Shame and any team NOT playing for conference titles should be allowed into the top 4 much less the top 10.

Anything can happen in the playoff.

But if a team doesn't win their conference, they probably don't deserve to be in. If they don't win their division, they definitely don't deserve to be in.

I could see an exception where you put a 11-1 team in over a 10-3 team, but generally speaking...

that was a fluke and one of the reasons i am a massive proponent of removing the divisions within conferences. turn it into a round robin style system that pits the two best teams via rankings/record. period.

while i see your point, and it is hard to argue against it, bama had one loss. it wasn't like they had lost to a bad team either. someone had to go that year and Bama made sense.
