Absolutely hilarious 2015 and this year they finished top 4 but failed to reach the playoffs.

With 3 of the top 4 teams guaranteed to lose in the playoffs, that will happen.

Rose tie-in does kinda suck when the PAC-12 champ is meh. Sorry about that.

Yes it’s easy to finish higher when you play bad teams.

Auburn beat Washington. :clap

Seems you would have been a shoe-in if only the Playoff teams were announced after the Playoffs...... :thought

or you didn't get raped by 6-7 Purdue, or beat 5-7 Maryland by 1 point in OT, or barely beat 4-8 Nebraska.

:ROFL2

But there are no teams with losing records in the playoffs, so tUOS obviously would have dominated.

FSU might have given them a run for their money though. :dog

... :sigh

... :facepalm

Its funny the rest of the world disagrees with you guys and put Ohio State 3rd coaches and media.

Nebraska won 4 of their last 6 games and almost beat Iowa and NW 2 top 25 teams so playing them close isn't a big deal to me at that point in the season. Maryland beat Texas you know the team that beat Oklahoma and Georgia so why is that a big deal?

They will be good next year.

Serious?

Nebraska's 4 wins were against these teams.

7-6 - Minnesota
7-6 - Michigan State
7-5 - Bethune Cookman (FCS)
4-8 - Illinois

and it took better playoff teams ahead of you losing to harder teams in the playoffs for you to jump them in a final poll.

The irony is if you made the playoffs, you would have gotten destroyed and be sitting outside the Top 5. You should really be thanking the CFB Playoff committee for your final ranking..... :dog

Uh, pretty sure the rest of the world agrees that tUOS did not deserve to make the playoffs.

Well why don't you talk about their 8 losses.

1st game of the season they lost because of a cheap shot on the QB they were in control of the game until that point, they have no backup QB because the backups left the team.
2nd game they lost because of that same cheap shot.

All of their losses were very close other than Michigan and they didn't have their QB for that game either. They played other top 25 teams just as close as Ohio State.

I get it.

Your narrative, it’s important to you.

It’s not to me. Nebraska blew.

Only because I'm relatively new here and don't quite know the personas,

The O.P. is under the impression that after the playoffs are over; that it would/should naturally have shaken out that only the top 4 playoff teams remained the top 4 just in a potentially different order based on the playoff outcomes?

Top 4 in 2018?

Only if Oregon is Top 10 for 2018.

No I am not under that impression but isn't it funny how the committee is supposed to be picking the best 4 teams, if they did their job correctly why would it change?

I actually think Ohio State being in the top 4 this upcoming year is retarded though because they have absolutely 0 percent chance of making the playoff because they will probably lose 1 game and if they lose 1 game they are automatically eliminated.

Playoff will probably be.

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Florida
4. Georgia

Do you want people to take you seriously, or do you just want to look like a whiny bitch?

The last two 1-loss B1G champs to make the playoffs lost by a combined score of 69-0.

2015 was a fucking joke, it should have been Ohio State not Michigan State is why.

2 fluke plays put Alabama in and Ohio State out, because of that trashy conference division system. Michigan doesn't fumble that punt vs Michigan State then Ohio State is in the playoffs with a team that broke NFL draft records and was the returning defending champs with almost the full team in tact. Ole Miss doesn't let Arkansas convert that fluky lateral play and Alabama is in the same exact position. Really OU should have been out too they were no where near as good as Ohio State and probably not as good as Stanford. The committee got it wrong.

How does a loss to a shit Nebraska team not carry more weight than a head to head loss? I would have argued against Ohio State being in the conference title game this year over Michigan if Michigan had not lost to ND because losing to Purdue is much worse than losing to Ohio State. It should be overall record then top 25 ranking not head to head and there shouldn't even be divisions.

2016 yea Ohio State got whipped they weren't playing well to finish the season but they did beat something like 4 top 10 teams and it was impossible to leave them out.

so, when #1 knocks off #4 and #2 knocks off #3, as it happened in real time, those two teams that lost shouldn't have changed? and only Bama should have slid down a spot and Clemson moving up their slot due to the title?
