Committee should count FCS games as half a loss

Postby CraigKressel » November 29th, 2018, 9:00 pm

In conferences with 8 conference games.

Pretty much every SEC team played 3 cupcakes and 1 is an FCS team this generates into being 1 less loss for half of the conference, exchanging a loss for half of the teams for an automatic win.

Alabama is 11.5 - .5
Georgia is 11.5 - .5

Since who knows if they hadn't scheduled an FCS chump for the 9th game they might have had to play each other.

If only Ohio State had scheduled an FCS team in place of Iowa and Purdue the last 2 years.

What about 1 loss Big 10 Division Champ vying for a playoff spot that has only played 3 teams with a winning record?

Spoiler:
It’s Ohio State

That one loss came at Purdue’s hands. Their championship game is against Northwestern who couldn’t do shit against OOC opponents

Playing Buttgers and Oregon St in the same season should count as a full loss. There are probably 30-40 FCS teams that would beat both by double digits.

They played a fair amount of 6-6 teams, FCS team thing is a joke just cause FSU plays them annually doesn't mean you should defend it.

You played 3 teams with a winning record. I’d say our chances would have been SIGNIFICANTLY better with your schedule.

Don’t know.

Didn’t we all say Ohio State would again get blown out by somebody they shouldn’t?

We should have made a bowl. Miami should have been a win.

I’m starting to second guess this hire but have to see what this gimmicky offense can do with an OL.

Post that link and read what I actually wrote. I did not pick them to be in the playoffs you stupid illiterate fuck.

As for moron or credibility, all you two idiots do is whine and cry at everything. Everything is an injustice to Ohio State. Cry me a river you vaginas.

You do realize you made my point for me right?

All of Ohio State's schedule but Minnesota played 10-11 Power 5 teams most of the SEC teams and ACC teams played 8 or 9.

Lets say that TCU, Maryland, Purdue, Indiana played some FCS teams Ohio State would have 4 more teams with a winning record right there.

B1G teams averaged 10 P5 opponents. ACC teams averaged 9.43.

I think all conferences should play 4 OOC games. Variety is good.

:dunno

Many ACC teams do have weak OOC schedules.

A lot do but some don't.

We play UF/Notre Dame

Clemson has South Carolina/Texas A&M

Louisville has BAMA and Kentucky

Off the top of my head.
