Who do you think will be in the Playoff?

I will go with

Alabama
Ohio State
Clemson
Georgia

Washington, Oklahoma, Penn State for other possibilities

I know but its pretty much the truth because 3 of those teams play easy ass schedules and will get favoritism. Ohio State should be good enough to go 12-1 though and the schedule isn't super tough but fairly difficult.

I can't reply because I have only followed FSU since Feb. I don't know how other teams did with draft and attrition. I'd love to say FSU, but we actually have a pretty tough schedule.

That and your team was horrible last year and you guys hired a mediocre coach.

In what aspect in this do I not know what I am talking about? Where has your coach proven jack shit and how was FSU any good last year exactly?

You guys went 7-6 lost to every decent team that you played. You had wins over Wake Forest, Duke, Syracuse, Delaware State, Florida, UL Monroe, Southern Miss.

Not exactly what I would call playoff caliber.

Willie Taggart's record as a head coach is 47-50. Pretty much mediocre like I said, he had 1 good year at USF.

Sounds like you are the one that doesn't know what you are talking about to me.

Also how is that schedule really that hard to eliminate a legit playoff contender anyways?

FSU has VT, ND, Clemson, Miami. I kind of doubt VT will be as lucky as they were last year so I would say 3 ranked teams on there, Louisville will probably fall off.

Ohio State, Georgia or Bama would all be 11-1 or 12-0 with that schedule.

You look at a record and a headline and assume you know what's going on in Tallahassee.

For Starters:

True Freshman QB who had 2 months of CFB practice under his belt.

Head Coach and half the coaching staff who checked out at mid-season.

We lost 3 games we could easily have won - they were literally lost on the last play of the game (in spite of shitty coaching, record could just as easily have been 10-3) Most teams can say this, but its more comparing 7-6 team and a 10-3 team. Huge difference from a outside viewer stand point).

We played the defending 2017 NC and the ultimate 2018 NC well. If you simply look at the score, you are an idiot. We played Clemson better than score indicates.

This year we will have 3 healthy QB's who could play (if not start) for most teams.

I would argue our RB depth is the deepest in the nation and with the new playbook, they should all get carries.

We have a coach who will utilize the athletes he has, unlike Jimbo. WT has never had this much talent in any of his systems.

Our Defense will be better coached and has plenty of talent.

For starters.

BAMA and UGA might.

Again, for starters we play 2 teams who had a losing record last year. One of those being Florida who could be a good team with better coaching. VT, Louisville and NC State are always somewhat decent and play tough. ND, Clemson, Miami.. Northern Illinois is no lay down.

In comparison, Ohio State plays 7 teams with a 2017 losing record. Your 2018 schedule went 75-75 in 2017. We also do not play any team that was 1-11 in the PAC 12 last year. If you don't make the playoffs, you should be ashamed. (I know you acknowledged a weak schedule, but comments are for comparison purposes)

Here are the five most difficult 2018 Power 5 schedules, as ranked by the NCAA:

1. Florida State — 97-56 (.643)
2. Nebraska — 98-58 (.628)
3. Michigan — 96-57 (.627)
4. Auburn — 94-58 (.618)
5. Texas A&M — 95-59 (.617)

Florida State plays a whopping 10 teams that finished with winning records in 2017...

FSU at #1, Ohio St at #87: https://philsteele.com/2018/03/21/tough ... -for-2018/
FSU at #1, Ohio St (not in top 25): https://athlonsports.com/college-footba ... dules-2018

Ok lets make 2 bets then.

1. Will FSU finish top 10? I say no.
2. Who will play more ranked teams Ohio State or FSU? I say Ohio State

No idea, hence my SOS comments.

Theoretically: If you finish with 3 ranked teams and we finished with 2, but you also finish with 7 teams with losing record and we finish with 2, what would it prove?

I might take the bet, let me get back. (just saw this and have not thought about it too hard.

not much difference between a 5-7 team and a 7-6 to me, neither should beat a playoff or national championship caliber team, sure it happens on occasion but doesn't really make a difference.

I want to know where I am wrong still. Show me where FSU did not have a terrible season last year or where your coach isn't mediocre at best? Not saying he couldn't be good or FSU have a great turnaround but I think to even suggest they are a contender right now is absurd.

I want in on that bet. I honestly don't think FSU will win over 6 games and WT will be fired in less than 3 years.
