We have leads or sudden shifts favoring us for a lot of blue chips

1. Frere - five star OT - the CB's seem down to ND and Florida. Most seem to think Florida
2. Jacob Copeland - Between UF and Bama with FSU and Tenn not as likely but still there
3. Richard Gouraige - top 100 OT - Expected to stay with UF
4. Justin Watkins - top 100 WR - Expected to stay with UF
5. Dorian Gerald - Top JUCO WDE - Favored for UF but couple in play
6. Andrew Chatfield - UF or UM
7. Malcolm Lamar - Shockingly named UF his favorite over FSU. Heard he cancelled his FSU visit. Not sure if true.
8. Noah Boykin - Basically a UF lock at this point. De-committed day after UF visit from Maryland

Then in play for a couple of three stars to fill the rest - Caleb Johnson, Caleb Tannor, Griffin Mcdowell(think he actually signed already)

If the CB's and guesses hold true. UF should have one of the better if not the best overall signing day besides maybe Bama.

Keep in mind: Lamar was committed to Oregon for months. Then Taggart left. Then he had his official visit to FSU (12/15). 4 days later, he decommitted from Oregon. His teammate, Warren Thompson, committed to FSU this week. Also, saying UF is "at the top" doesn't mean they are his favorite, just among the favorites. 247 gives him an 82% chance of ending up with the Noles; 9% for Oregon and UF.

"Warren is my cousin, so we always planned to go to the same school," Lamar said.

:nuhuh

08 is in "the know". His sources are never wrong...... :thought

I can't tell where we finish, but we only have 15. We had some more spots open up recently and JJ leaving makes me want Foster all that much more. If we get Foster and Lamar and maybe a few others we will be fine. (Does't matter if you have a big signing day. We are having a huge January)

Our big issue is only three guys we are after were wanted by the previous staff. We landed Emory, Dean, top kicker, and Watkins despite the other staff not offering so far.

I expect a strong close. The lazy recruiter thing isn't really holding true so far. Dan's been everywhere. Maybe it's just a first year thing and he goes back to it, but he seems to be doing the right things so far so I am pleasantly surprised. Though I will hold off till Signing day to see how he closes. We know our staff can coach, but we have to recruit as well to keep up.

I think we close with:

4* WR Tre'Shaun Harrison
4* DE Malcolm Lamar
4* QB James Foster
3* WR Jordan Young (current Tennessee commit)
3* LB James Miller

1-2 random fux, most likely being 3* RB Anthony Grant (current Tennessee commit)

Finish 12th in recruiting rankings.

Malcolm "UF is my favorite and I'm not visiting FSU" Lamar and Anthony Grant in da house! :2thumbs

Now hearing Foster is leaning A&M. Gay if true.

Boykin was baffling...we were all stunned he was as close to a lock as you get. Still mind blown \

We did well though.

Langham, Gouraige, Watkins, Copeland, Grimm. Chatfield . I'm happy. Our average player ranking is a lot closer to Meyer's were than Mac's...so that leaves me with a happy feeling.

Rivals has UF in the "Winner and losers" article as a winner. Nice job.... :2thumbs
