God Kiffin will be scary at a big school this time around. He evolved his offense, and has matured. While still a troll...he can flat out coach. SO glad Tenn isn't getting him.
I'm hoping they get Venables... just so Clemson can't have him.
Freshwater would be amusing and all, but way too risky.
Taggart's recruiting skills + being at a school like FSU... Yes, please. :drool
Is he all that good? I credit Cristobal and Jim more than anything..his last class at USF was 5th behind schools like Temple. He never really was an elite recruiter till this year. This isn't just because he is at FSU, I said here when we were looking for a coach I really didn't want him. Think he isn't all that great. Could be wrong. Has upside. Did develop well. Just thought he took way to long to bring USF back considering their conference. And his recruiting only became a big sell point this year, with the best recruiter in football Cristoabl(dude is a God).
Here's what you said:
Taggart while his overall record is blah. He is doing well at Oregon and did well his last year at USF after fixing some fatal flaws. His recruiting is abslutely outstanding and I think that makes him very interesting.
Kinda changed your tune on recruiting. Recruiting at a P5 school (Oregon) is much easier than at a G5 school (USF). Recruiting at FSU will be even easier, especially with all the FL ties he and Leavitt have.
As for the turnaround, going 2-10, 4-8, 8-5, 11-2* isn't bad. It's the only time USF ever won more than 9 games (they could win 10 this year).
Christobal has 2 commits this year. Both OL. One 3-star and one 4-star. FUCKING GOD. Sure, he was good at Bama, but who can't recruit for Bama? You could walk into a recruit's home, bitch slap his mom, kick his dog, and take a shit right in the middle of the living room... and that kid would still make his gf suck your dick if you offered a scholarship. He's like a poor man's James Coley. He can recruit, but you don't want him calling plays.
Agree on Leavitt. We need to keep that dude as long as possible. I don't care if we have to pay him $2M/yr. He's been outstanding at places with half of FSU's talent.
