Fromm won the job from Eason. No reason to think Fields cannot come in and compete as well. Kirby plays the beat player, and there is always an open competition at every position.

With that said, Eason will return next year and grad transfer (if he transfers this year he has to sit a year while someone else potentially wins a job). Fields will RS. Fromm will leave after his JR year (ESPN already projected him to be drafted by the Browns in the 2020 draft). Fields will have 3 years of eligibility left.

So just what I am hearing..it's all "sources" at this point because the UAA is silent as freak.

Kelly and UF have agreed to facility upgrades and the assistant coaches are "vetted" (note during the OSU game they did mention at the end Day may be coming to Florida if Kelly comes, sure Craig heard it as well so the big networks have word of all of it as well).

Heard the DC want is the LB coach at Alabama. I was honestly hoping for CHizik but the Bama guy is apparently a stud recruiter.

We shall see. I was sure of Friday because contract negotiations leaked Tuesday. Didn't think it would be this complex. I think the major issue is the UAA is a power animal at UF. Kelly has all the power in these negotations because he can get any college job he wants most likely when it's available. Luckily UF is the best job open and will be this offseason unless Meyer. Saban. or Herman decide to ditch town suddenly(FSU is even so Fisher as well). So we at least have the best chance to win big to our favor.

I'm pretty freaking excited. Also let's point out Chip actually can recruit. He had three straight top fifteen classes, which was never done at Oregon before. I think their average class was around 25-30 typically and was that way when he left till Tagg. So not really concerned about his ability to recruit, but his want. If he brings in the cords they expect they both are strong recruiters at least.

Goldkamp at 24/7 reported today he thinks the deal may be finalized. UF scheduled a flight plane as well for tomorrow but it's location isn't being released. Scheduled the flight plane for the UAA plane. Goldkamp claims he actually thought it was falling through some but now thinks we could announce Sunday or Monday.

Not me saying we will as I did with Friday. Just saying what 24/7 is saying.

Also Spivey at GC says it will happen this week, latest the day after FSU because there is thought that Stricklin doesn't want to distract the team from the FSU game. I disagree with doing that completely, think it actually motivates the team to try out for their new head coach..but who knows. Every Gator insider seems positive about this..so no reason for me to not think it happens. Still nervous ;/
