I recommend you guys watch the recent inteview he had with cowherd. He pretty much says the committee builds resume than actually rewarding teams to win. That it might be influenced with the deal they have with espn and the SEC. Im on mobile and i cant link it

Of course the committee is corrupt. Once the human element is introduced, corruption is soon to follow.

Computers weren't much better. It was created by a human and biased a lot towards certain groups

Well, of course it was created by a human. But what we need if we're going to rank teams is an objective metric that we just feed statistics into. This whole idea of "eyeball tests" and things like that are pretty stupid, when you stop and think about it.

Miss State, LSU, Auburn rankings are clearly biased and have been all year.

All three are high, I agree. But how bad can Auburn be if they're only 2.5 point underdogs against UGA?

Also, I can see putting UCF ahead of Auburn, but who else?
8-2 USC, who lost to ND... BY FIVE TOUCHDOWNS?
7-2 MSU, who lost to ND... BY THREE TOUCHDOWNS... and lost to Dook's bitch?
7-2 OSU... I don't need to tell you about OSU
7-2 PSU... an argument can be made here. Both losses to top 15 teams by 3 or less
7-2 Okie St... poor man's PSU. Losses are slightly worse, wins are less impressive
7-2 VT... closest thing to a quality win is WVU

I could see...
#10 UCF
#11 PSU
#12 Okie St
#13 Auburn
#14 OSU
#15 MSU
#16 USC
#17 VT

...or put OSU at #13 and bump Auburn down a spot, whatever. 11-17 are all pretty similar.

Yea, the Clemson thing is ridiculous.

Auburn is the only team they played that is really worth a fuck all year yet you have the committee and ESPN acting like they are playing this impossible schedule.

NC State and Virginia Tech are not top 25 teams in reality.

ohsu ranked too high after getting clown stomped by Iowa

Penn st over ranked after losing to ohsu and mich St and mich St got clown stomped by ohsu who's been beaten soundly TWICE.

Building that resume for ohsu with having their opponents ranked that high.

Who would you rank ahead of Ohio State that isn't and why? USC got stomped, TCU got stomped, Oklahoma State got stomped and none of them played as tough of a schedule as Ohio State so far and haven't been as dominant throughout the season.

I agree about Michigan State I cannot believe they are 17th. The committee seems to be ignoring losses this year with shit like Syracuse.

You know the CFP has tUOS ranked lower than the Coaches and AP, right?

I could see TCU over Ohio St.

Both played OU...
TCU lost by 18 on the road, OSU lost by 15 at home. Homefield advantage is generally worth about 3 points, but even more at places like OU and OSU. Advantage TCU.

Both lost to a 6-4 team on the road. TCU lost by 7, OSU lost by 31. Advantage TCU.

TCU's best win is a 13-point win on the road against Oklahoma St. OSU's best win is a 1-point win at home against PSU. Considering PSU and Okie St are comparable, advantage TCU.

OSU's assraping of Meatchicken St is obviously more impressive than TCU's 7-point win over WVU. Advantage OSU.

OSU's FBS opponents are slightly better (.580 to .566), and TCU's P5 opponents are slightly better (.585 to .575). Tie.

OSU's MOV against FBS is much better: 23.6 to 12.4. Advantage OSU.

It's pretty close. But if you're saying TCU got "stomped", then OSU got "stomped" by OU as well... and got utterly clownstomped through the other side of the earth by Iowa.

TCU is a fair argument but it doesn't even matter because if OU wins the Big 12 they will beat TCU again and they will drop, if TCU wins the Big 12 then OU would likely be dropped below Ohio State because of losing that game and not winning the Big 12.

I highly doubt TCU beats OU anyways.

If you want to compare ND, Ohio State is already behind them and Ohio State beat Michigan State a lot worse than ND and ND was just embarrassed by Miami as badly as Iowa embarrassed Ohio State.

ND won't matter either because they don't have a conference championship or 13th game and Ohio State has a better remaining schedule if you count the Big 10 CC

I would say 8th or 9th is the right spot for Ohio State right now, they have looked very bad 1 game, lost another game vs a top team, that was not a clown stomping the game was close until the last 10 min or so, then the rest of the season they have looked very impressive as much as anyone.
