If two highly ranked teams play each other and the lower ranked team loses by one score, I have no problem with them not dropping much. I mean, if the #1 team beats the #2 team by a FG or TD, isn't that what you'd expect to happen, being that the #1 team is ranked higher? However, if the #2 team loses by several scores, they should probably drop.

#5 beat #2 in good fashion. They should drop further than #2 who lost to #1.

It's why I hate the polls until week 5 or week 6.

I'm not arguing against Ohio St dropping. They were beat convincingly by OU. It was more just a general statement about top teams playing each other.
