Sure. Try a playing a football while your friends and family are getting wrecked by a serious hurricane. Which one is it. Are you just dumb, stupid, or just a complete idiot in general? Try using common sense for a change retard.

All of these players are

PLUS ALL THE PLAYERS from Bama, Barn, and EVERY OTHER TEAM that has players from FL & the Southeast.

They did the same last week with players from Texas. Jalen Hurts, Tony Brown, etc...

I guess Florida is also afraid of playing Northern Colorado: https://www.seccountry.com/Florida
Afraid of a directional FCS school... shame!

Yep. They shouldn't cancel unless they are rescheduling. Weren't they griping about LSU last year?

My post was sarcasm, hence the tag.
This is the right move on both their parts. I'm surprised FAU and FIU are still playing their games. Apparently Joey Freshwater wanted to cancel the game with Wisconsin, but was overruled by the athletic department, because they want the $1.2 million payday. And FIU likely needs to beat Alcorn St if they're going to have any hope of going to a bowl (slim as those hopes might be.)

I know it was sarcasm BUT it was sarcasm saying that they aren't afraid, and neither is Miami.

The difference being that Richt DOES NOT want to play at Ark St and didn't want to play at App St. There is zero reason for Miami to be scheduling those games, however THEY DID and Ark St did everything in their power to make it work for Miami. Rescheduling and making accommodations.

I would be a hypocrite if I said it's okay for UF to cancel and not Miami.

Oh look. Its the butthurt Auburn fan who hates Miami for no reason at all. Congrats on the impressive win over Ga Southern. Also good luck against Mercer and ULMonroe in the near future.

Id much rather have the Gatas on our schedule this week :deadhorse

I hate all other teams aren't named Auburn.

There's a big difference between not caring about cancelling a meaningless OOC game and being afraid to play that game.

In the case of UCF and USF, their games this week are conference games, so it's a more difficult situation. UCF has moved their game with Memphis to Friday night and USF is playing @ UConn. In the case of Memphis, they should have time to fly out before Orlando International is closed. In USF's case, depending on where the storm goes, they may have to stay in the northeast for awhile.

Yes & FAU is playing Wisky in wisky

Miami was playing in Arky and was offered to play on Friday as well.

It's also about helping that school that you contracted to play.

It's not about "the players worried about their families" because if that were the case then every Texas player should've been catered too last week, and every FL player this week unless it's just Miami players are extra sensitive?

Houston's week 1 game was cancelled. They were the only campus really affected by Harvey. In the case of Irma, the storm affects the entire peninsula of Florida. Irma is the size of Florida, and will likely still be a hurricane even when it hits northern Florida. All Florida campuses have been closed by the governor.

Oh, and USF has canceled their game @ UConn, which is the right call.

So far, the only Florida teams still playing are:

FAU: playing @ Wisconsin. Coach Kiffin wanted to cancel, but was overruled (probaly has nothing to do with the $1.2 million that FAU is being paid, or that The Badgers are covering the costs of FAU staying up in Madison.)

FIU: playing Friday night in Birmingham

UCF: game moved up to Friday at 6:30 pm. Orlando isn't really a thoroughfare for evacuees, especially not the stretch between the campus and the airport. I can see this game being cancelled due to Memphis not being able to fly out after the game, or if first responders can't commit to serving the game.
