The only good thing about last night is that Bama didn't look unstoppable and our defense did not disappoint.

Our game was all downhill from the missed PI call. A very important call.

Now we probably face Miami with a freshman QB.

Special teams is what it is. I was relatively impressed with Jimbo's play calling but he kept going back to what wasn't working and rarely went back to what was working. Throw the fucking ball to your TE's more. It was working. Akers should be the starter, plain and simple.

ST was only difference. Our ints were simply forced throws by a QB behind late in the game. Game was pretty even statistically. They had field position because of Ill timed turn overs. Easy points off of said turnovers.

FSU had 7 points and had 40 yards rushing for the entire game. The game may not have felt that way but it was all wrapped up as soon as Bama locked up the run game (which was immediately). Francois wasn't going to win that game throwing it.

A few things:
Both teams averaged 5.69 yards per play in the first half
Botched PI really killed FSU. A 14-10 lead puts FSU in the conservative play calling driver seat and forces Bama to press.
Bama's first drive in the 2nd half went for 29 yards (resulting in a punt). After that, they had no drives over 18 yards. Their scoring drives after halftime were -1, 11, and 16 yards.

This game was fairly even. Missed PI, turnovers, and blocked punt were the difference.

Both teams have horrible special teams. FSU's is ranked DEAD LAST in S&P. :facepalm
