Spoiler:
Orange City University five-star running back Lorenzo Lingard committed to Miami on Thursday picking the Hurricanes over a number of top schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Auburn, Texas and Florida.
Lingard, who is ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 2 running back and No. 10 overall prospect in the class, was in Coral Gables on Wednesday for an unofficial visit. He told InsideTheU once he left campus that Miami was in his top group along with both Texas and Clemson, but apparently it didn't take long for the Richt and offensive coordinator Thomas Brown to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

"Coach Brown is a great dude," Lingard said. "He was a standout type of person to me when I first met him just with his character and everything. Same with Coach Richt. From the time I first met him, he has been the same way. No change and no giddy up. He's the same humble guy and that's what I like about him. He told me that he prepares his players to be young men and even though he's at Miami now, he told me that he still helps out those guys that he recruited at Georgia. That just shows me that Coach Richt is a great guy."

Lingard is in line to become the highest ranked recruit to sign with Miami since Duke Johnson back in 2012.

"It's close to home," Lingard said when asked what standouts out about the Hurricanes besides his relationship with the coaches.
"It was definitely one of the best trips that I have took," he added while referencing Wednesday's visit.
"I wanted to see what the coaches were like when they weren't so busy and how the school operates during classes. I spoke to the coaches a lot but the thing that stood out to me was talking with the academic deans and professors on the business side of the school. That's something that I want to major in and they just gave me the deal on how they do things there."

Lingard (6-0, 180) ran for 1,418 yards and 22 touchdowns this past season at University. He has already accepted an invitation to play in the 2018 Army Bowl.

Maybe. Or he might not want to surround himself with trailer park trash indigent Bama fans. I heard you got to pay those boys big time to surround themselves with those indigents. :lolthumb

I seen Jimbo finished strong on the 2017 class.
I think CMR did pretty well for his first recruiting class considering how bad weve been under Golden and Shannon. We missed on McFarland but did get Dean, Hartley and Herbert to flip. WR Thomas was a huge get and brings a lot of speed. Going to be an interesting QB competition this spring for Miami. Don't be surprised if Perry wins the QB position as a true frosh. And that still can be an upgrade over Kayaa. :dog

Spoiler:
Miami got the QB in their 2018 recruiting class today when 4-star Artur Sitkowski committed to the Hurricanes.

A New Jersey native who recently transferred to Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy, Sitkowski is a top talent at QB, and a big get for Miami. A top 75 player in the 2018 recruiting class, Sitkowski fills the need for a QB in this class, and would add even more high-end talent to the Hurricanes’ roster.
In 2 years at Old Bridge (NJ) HS, Sitkowski’s numbers were decent but not eye-popping. Playing on a team that mainly runs a wing-T type offense built around running the ball, Sitkowski had a 2-year stat line of 199/394 (50.5%) passing, for 2,632 yards, with 22 TD and 13 INT. On top of that, Sitkowski ran for 394 yards and 10 TDs, sack yardage included.
A prototype QB at 6’4” 220lbs, Sitkowski has all the physical tools to be a top end passer. He transferred to IMG Academy to get better coaching and development, and play in an offense that is more suited to showcase his prodigious talents.

Many schools were after Sitkowski both before and after his transfer to IMG. Hometown school Rutgers made Sitkowski a priority, as did Miami (obviously), LSU, and Florida. New LSU OC Matt Canada reportedly told Sitkowski that the passer was “his guy” and top target at QB for the Tigers. The Gators, however, reportedly lessened their communication with Sitkowski in recent days, and fell off in his recruitment. Couple that with Mark Richt openly making the New Jersey native his #1 QB target in the 2018 class, and it’s easy to see why he picked Miami.
Sitkowski committed to Miami over a healthy list of 26 offers, with Florida, Rutgers, North Carolina and South Carolina being some of the top teams vying for his commitment. Sitkowski is the only QB in Miami’s 2018 recruiting class and that figures to end Miami’s recruiting at this position.
For a better idea of the kind of skills Sitkowski has, you can watch his HUDL highlights below.

Spoiler:
Add another key piece to Mark Richt's No. 1 ranked recruiting class.
Miami Southridge Top100 wide receiver Mark Pope committed to Miami on Monday.
Pope, who is ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 4 wide receiver and No. 23 overall prospect, was at one time considered an Alabama lean, but the Hurricanes were able to emerge as his leader in recent weeks following a number of unofficial visits.
"I love Miami," Pope said.
"It just feels like its home. Miami recruited me harder than everyone else and I can tell that they want me. I'm just ready to stay home and put on for my family."
Pope gives the Hurricanes a wide receiver that can make plays all over the field. He's known for his ability to not only beat cornerbacks deep in coverage with his double moves, but also break free and pick up yardage in the return game.
"He's got a chance to earn the top WR spot in the country," 247Sports director of scouting Barton Simmons wrote last month after Pope dominated a 7-on-7 tournament. "Right now he's right in the mix with guys like Jalen Hall, Kamryn Babb and Derion Kendrick."
The U.S. Army All-American also held offers from Florida, Oregon, UCLA, Ole Miss, Auburn, LSU, West Virginia and Nebraska.
Miami's Ron Dugans played a key part in the recruitment.
“Coach Dugans talks to me a lot,” Pope said. “It really has to do with how UM came at me. I just fell in love with Coach Dugans and the rest of the coaches. They just made it feel like it was home for me."
Pope (6-1, 175) caught 37 passes for 619 yards and nine touchdowns this past season on a Miami Southridge squad that won a Class 7A-state title. The No. 4 recruit in Florida is expected to enroll early at the school of his choice.

Once in a generation find?

Good luck. I mean Uf had 1, Auburn had 1, FSU had 1...

Bama MIGHT have 1, but so far we haven't had 1 and look at the difference betwee Bama and those schools. (FSU is close but the Trophys... In the last decade are not)

So you might just want to find someone like AJ, McElroy, or Coker

Let's see so far....

He led them to it and they fell back.

Scam, Watson, Young, Tebow, Winston, they all won the NC unlike Manning...

Though he does have stuff in common with those ACTUAL once in a generation, possibly lifetime finds...

He didn't win the Heisman just like Watson.
He had sexual Harassment just like Winston
He didn't beat Florida just like Young...
He had more scandal than just the sexual assault with his steroids just like Scam with stealing and money.

Fuck.... Tebow was just all out better than Peyton.... He even owns EB
