They always get lucky for like a season or 2 if they don't suck right off the start.

Charlie Strong at Louisville 2012 or whenver that was.
Ty Willingham at Stanford and Notre Dame for a year or 2
Turner Gill at Buffalo
That dude at Miami, he never did shit, cant think of his name right now.
Ron Prince sucked
Sylvester Croom, he had 1 decent year then sucked
Darell Hazell, he sucked the whole time

Stanford is doing decent right now but I bet it doesn't last much longer.

I agree it doesn't, just making a racially charged joke and an observation, I made fun of Whitey CB skills as well.

There probably is a factor to do with race though. Not sure why there hasn't been more black successful coaches, maybe the black athlete more often looks at the athletic side of the game more than the analytical or a recruiting disadvantage in some way for whatever reason or hiring top level assistants maybe.

I don't understand why as a society that we can't accept that races excel in different things. Not saying things should be limited to generalizations of race obviously there are individual exceptions to every rule like Jason Seahorn or David Shaw, but I don't think it is racist to suggest black people are naturally more athletic or white college football coaches generally have performed better.

Same reason why black guys typically make better running backs, cornerbacks, wrs and white guys make better punters, pocket passers and kickers.

im not sold on the idea that black coaches dont get as many opprotunities , and im not a fan of the rooney rule in the nfl

To be fair to Taggart, he has turned things around at 2 schools. He just needs to hire a decent DC

Honestly I don't think coaches matter near as much in the NFL. They can of course, but sometimes I think they just do good because they get someone like Peyton Manning or in Tomlin's case he inherited a damn good team already, they just won the Super Bowl the year before he took over.

I feel the opposite... The way I see it the coaches in nfl have to be way better at the Xs and Os. Guys like Saban can fall back on the fact that he had a top 1 recruiting class every fucking year. If you gave a guy like Bill belicheat a roster of guys that were more talented than the opposition at EVERY SINGLE POSITION... They'd never lose.

They don't have to deal with near as much.

Recruiting, building a system around your players, facing different types of defenses and offenses every week, academics, NCAA regulations, etc.
