Common opponents( or, com-ponents)

Alabama, Oregon - Tennessee
Ohio State, Missouri - Indiana
Missouri, Miami, Florida State - Florida
Oregon, Ohio State - Cal
Alabama, Missouri - Texas A&M, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky
Auburn, Oregon - Washington State, Tennessee
UCF, Ohio State - Penn State
Fresno State, UCF - Rutgers
Northern Illinois, Ohio State - Iowa
Auburn, Missouri - Arkansas State
Oregon, Miami - Virginia
Clemson, Missouri, Auburn - Georgia
Alabama, Miami - Virginia Tech

What sucks for Stanford, Baylor, and Texas Tech is that they don't have any real judgable games to compare with orher teams out of conference. So it's going to be VERY hard for them to make it to the BCS title even if they win out.

Using the transitive property is somewhat effective, IF you have many common opponents among the top 12. Using and comparing scores is quite reflective of how good a team really is. Some of these teams will knock each other out head to head, but not all of them. FSU and Oregon have no common opponents, so you can really only use the eye test with them. Just like Alabama and Ohio State. Baylor and Texas Tech are dying in the computers because (1) they play 0 quality teams OOC and (2) the Big12 seems to be much weaker than in previous years. So they will need extreme chaos AND win out if they want to play in Pasadena. Believe it or not, Baylor is 7th in scoring defense. Take that in for a second. Of course they haven't played really ANY good teams, but they're about to, so we will find out a lot about the Bears and Red Raiders.

We still have 7 weeks of regular season college football left to play. A LOT CAN HAPPEN...
