How many times do I have to explain this? Rankings have no bearing on the ratings. That would make it subject to the whims and biases of coaches and shit. Do you really think that South Carolina is better than Miami? The Coaches and AP seem to think so.

Miami beat:
2-4 team by 16+
4-1 team by 5
1-5 team by 16+
1-4 team by 16+
3-2 team by 15.
FSU beat:
3-1 team by 16+
3-3 team by 16+
4-1 team by 16+
3-2 team by 14
4-1 team by 16+

I think you're pretty fucking stupid if you can't figure it out

And you're pretty fucking stupid if you think this is a good ranking system

I like how he used 16 :biglol

Why not use 9 points? That's a 2 score game the same as 16 is.17 is a 3 score game no matter what but even then no coach will want to stop at a 16 PT lead.

What were your rankings based on? Gut feelings? The eye test? BS preseason rankings? Yeah, those are all great ways to judge teams' worth.

You're saying a 9-point lead is the same as a 16-point lead? Man, you must think FGs and TDs are interchangeable, too.

Personally, I think the ranking is generally fine, although I think it'd be better with some sort of Opponent's Strength of schedule sort of thing factoried. You know, like the record of the opponents' opponents.

But, eh, I don't know anything about making a ranking method. Maybe I'll try it.

He's not a closet Bama fan, is he?

You are just easy as fuck to troll. Probably because you are a little kid. And making up a ranking system to have fsu #1 just gives easy ammo. Your team is a bigger joke than your poll

Where did I say that 9 = 16?

Maybe you are 12 years old...

You're still pissed because you're formula is retarded because ZERO coaches would feel safe with a 16pt lead against a reputable team and even against most non reputable teams until the last few minutes of the game

I've explained it before. I'm not going to anymore.
FYI, I took the MOV cap off just to see what it would be. FSU was still #1 with a rating of over 29. The only noticeable change in ranking was that Baylor was #2 and Mizzou was #3 (instead of vice-versa). I didn't bother sorting it past that. You can see there isn't much difference between the end rankings of the teams. Also NMSU and Miami OH were still the worst two teams.

I'm not complaining about the rankings. I can only remember wher FSU and Mizzou was. Other than that I don't remember anything else, and even if it was the mirror image of my poll I would still find flaw in the 16 point cap. As I have explained why. I do believe that the majority on here and that the majority of all coaches and players would agree with me as well. JMO

I would say there should be a cap on it though
