can get away with murder

and in the case of florida, they are allowed to run a program that produces murderers molesters, violent criminals thieves thugs rapists and everything else

all in the name of christ btw

so yes the NCAA and SEC are corrupt

all for the sake of money

SECt refs favor the team with the better record/ranking.

ACC refs hate teams outside of NC, especially the Florida teams. To be fair, I have no complaints about the Pitt game. :up

Team related:
- ref was on the take in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl
- Gino Toretta threw the 1993 Sugar Bowl

Non-team related:
- I believe that pretty much every I-A team (outside the service academies) violates NCAA rules.
- If the NCAA actually cared about prosecuting Alabama, they'd find enough violations to give them the death penalty several times over.

Ron Cherry has a vendetta against FSU
UFelon pays cops and media to keep the majority of their problems under wraps (ex: dude steals a dead woman's CC and no charges are brought up)
NCAA rather pimp out the SEC instead of any other conference
NCAA rigs big games for the ratings

The NCAA did shit on you but not now with Mark Emmert. Saban and him are close. Saban building up LSU when Emmert was in charge made his career. That is a fact. On a side note, my law professor was the 2003 fiesta bowl ref's boss (head of officiating). He said the guy was low character and he wouldn't put it past him that he didn't ref unbiased. He would always try to upstage the players and be the center of the universe. This came from his boss's mouth to me. That is not hearsay. My professor refed to MNC games too. LSU and UF's 2nd NC

So you're saying the SEC is much like the Miami program back when you guys cheated to win all of those titles?

I don't believe in much, except that something fishy was/is going on in Tuscaloosa and Cam Newton should have been ineligible. The refs hate FSU, but I don't really consider that a conspiracy. There was almost a riot after the 2011 FSU/Miami game. I was in front of the refs getaway bus afterwards and as soon as I moved they left the stadium pretty fast.

Luckily for them, Tallahassee isn't Cleveland.

I disagree...I think he's just an awful referee. Just terrible. I can't stand it when I realize he's officiating one of our games, and I'm pretty sure a majority of ACC fans feel the same way. He's horrid.

My favorite Ron Cherry call...

I'm 99% sure Mike Slive called Nick Saban at halftime in the 2010 Iron Bowl and told him to throw the game for the sake of the SEC streak to continue. Then paid him and told him, "I'll never ask for another favor again." And thats where the phrase "NEVER AGAIN" came from, and it was a promise that Saban would never lose to Auburn ever again as head coach at Alabama. He made up for the deal though with 2 national championships, so I guess it's all good now.

Come on man, if you are in law school, you should know what hearsay is. You are presenting a statement made by your professor (who is not here to answer questions about it) and are offering the statement to prove the truth of the matter asserted (the referee was low character and likely biased). That is classic hearsay. See Rule 801.
