Why is this board obsessed with UGA? They lost by 3 points to a top 10 team. Nobody is asking about TCU.

We're not obsessed. You have a large VLE fan base. The loss was 4/5 days ago. It's something to talk about. Plus Murray does not do well in big games. They even showed a stat on it during the game. (think it was Rich't stat though).

Murray does tend to make some big mistakes in big games, but you can't really blame him solely for the record. Other than the fumble that should have been a sack, he played well Saturday. Despite horrible line play, they still scored 35. At some point, people need to stop blaming Bobo and Murray for everything and ask if Grantham is worth anything near his hype. Georgia's defense is loaded with NFL talent every year, but gives up over 30 points per game (except to Florida).

You're going to actually gloss over the interception he had and the near interceptions in the fourth. Or the fact that it was the Todd Gurly show, and that Murray only dad two good drives and the second one was cherry picking in prevent. And yes Grantham, Richt deserve blame for the poor big games. Totally. And special teams wow awful waffle.

Every quarterback throws some interceptions. Sometimes the defense makes a play. The DE dropped into coverage and picked off the route. Murray has struggled in staring down receivers and not looking off DB's at time, but I'm giving Clemson as much credit for the interception as I give Murray blame.
At the end of the day, Georgia scored 35 points. They lost because the defense gave up 38. When David Greene was QB, Georgia was winning games 16-13. Go back and look at the scores from the 2002 team that went 13-1. Shockley saved the Clemson game, and many of the other games were close low scoring games (until after the Auburn game). Everyone loves Greene over Murray, but the only stat that Greene was better at was wins, and that is solely because of the defense. Georgia's defense has been on the decline since Van Gorder left.

Murray is good when it's not a big game, but he does disappear or make crucial mistakes in every big game he is in

Over 500 yds of offense and 35 pts but yet Murray choked :facepalm yes, he made a couple of mistakes, but I hardly see that as choking. Coaches were to blame for delay of game penalties. richt admitted to not getting the plays and audibles to Murray in time to make the changes, he had nothing to do with the bad snap on the field goal attempt. Several occasions he was hit almost as soon as he got the snap due to poor line play, and the defense gave up 38 pts. But Murray is the one who choked :facepalm

Aaron gets credit for Gurley's yards? What was his TD/INT ratio? And let's not forget this was
Clemson's defense.

Ok, subtract the 150 yards by Gurley, but while your at it, subtract the 38 points and 500 yds that Clemson put on our defense, cause Murray had nothing to do with that either.

What does your joke of a D have to do with Murray choking in big games? Not much time left and we have to get a TD to win...throws short of the goal line and lose the game :clap :clap :clap

Because if the defense could stop somebody and not give up 31 points, including a double digit second half lead, we never would have been in that situation.
In 2002, David Greene beat S Carolina 13-7 because David Pollack stole the ball from S Car's qb for a late td. He beat Tenn like 18-15. He choked against UF. In 2003, they lost 14-7 @ LSU. A win would have meant playing Ole Miss for the SEC championship and possibly Oklahoma for the national championship. Why isn't he criticized like Murray? Because he beat a bad Arkansas team in Atlanta? Murray would win a national championship with David Greene's defense.

Reminds me of some Husker fans blaming Martinez for letting Wyoming get 600 yards :dog

He turns it over like 200000000000000000x against UFelon and win because UFelon has wanted posters for an offense.

For the record I never thought highly of David Greene, Aaron Murray is perplexing because he has enough talent to be better than well what he is. It just hasn't worked out for him, and I hope he doesn't lay an egg against South Carolina Saturday afternoon. It's just all that talk of not choking in big games as a QB and he has a terrible 1st half, and then redeems himself 3rd quarter and then so/so forth. Uneven game.
