I can't fault them for that as I did not go to FSU. Sometimes fan hood is rooted much earlier than the time you enter as a Freshman. I was a Nole fan from the time I was 10. I moved to Florida when I was 10 (from New Mexico). I was accepted to UCF, FSU UWF, Maryland and South Alabama. UCF because my grandparents lived in Orlando. UWF because it was local and had a good business school. FSU for obvious reasons. Maryland because my father was being transferred back to England and they have campuses for Military there. South Alabama because I toyed around with walking on the soccer team. (pipe dream LOL)

Long story short, I chose University of West Florida in Pensacola. At the time, I had a loft apartment on a beach island community, across the street from the beach and a cush bar tending job making piles of cash during my college years. UWF did not have a Football team and still does not. Even if they did, I was a die hard Nole. I suppose if they did I would be confused like CK and known as Noles_Argonauts, but they don't.

(I did transfer to UCF for two semesters in 1990 but didn't like living with my grandparents so transferred back to UWF and the beach) What's funny is at the time, UCF's football team was bad. I think it was only a year or two old. I became good friends with the punt returner. He was a white kid, fast as lightening who walked on. Can't remember his name)

Well I guess i got two choices. Be a fan of the school that I go to (Florida Institute of Technology) or be a fan of Miami. The choice was very simple when I decided I wanted to watch football last year.
