Let's make some all-time all-conference teams

Postby Citronauts_Knights » September 24th, 2013, 1:51 pm

For the sake of this, we'll use teams' current conference affiliation (for example, the SEC gets to use all TAMU players and the ACC gets to use all Miami and FSU players.)

and... go!

If that's how you are doing it add Larry Fitzgerald to WR list

Good call!

I'm sure I'm going to miss some, I'm just doing this off-the-cuff. Shooting from the hip.

I think an All Time Alabama vs All Time Miami would be epic. Offenses and defenses, as well as special teams, would be unreal.

W4H, that's a good list, but don't forget that Bruce Smith played for VT. I think he's gotta be in there.

Way to many new players in your list saban...Julio Jones isn't close to one of the best WR's in SEC history...I can think of three UF receivers off the bat with way better careers and even they didn't crack the list of top WR's from the conference.

Patrick Peterson is not the second best corner in SEC history either...way to much new school. Also in LBs Wilber Marshall is considered one of the top ten all time LBs in CFB history by a lot of people..has to be on the team

I'm young man. Born in 94, I'm just listing what I know as the best players. I've only watched so many of the games that happened before I was born. I guess I could switch out Julio for David Palmer... Just saying cut me some slack. I'm not going to go looking up stats from SEC players pre 1980s, if I did I wouldn't be putting in my actual thoughts. If I listed old Bama players, it's because I've heard about them all my life. But I do know college football very well. And I know from what I watched during Alabama-LSU games, Julio and Peterson were the best 2 players on the field each time they faced each other.
