I’d think the opposite is true. In the past you pretty much had to win your conference (save for the few examples where that wasn’t the case). Now with 12 teams in, no need. Ohio State never has to win the conference again to be in. You still have to have 2 or less losses. I’d think the chances of repeating would be greater if your chances of getting in are greater.

It’s going to be like MLB except the teams spending the most money will end up winning it all more often than they do in the MLB
