So you're saying you know that your poll is stupid as fuck?

I know what it's weaknesses are, and several of the teams you named managed to take advantage of it. The difference between those teams is the opponents' W-L record and how much they win and lose by. Alabama could win 1000-3 against GSU and still not get much credit for it because GSU is a godawful team (0-3 vs FCS teams) and there is a cap on MOV. Same with Miami- the most credit Miami will get is because they beat a 5-3 GT team by 15. Teams like FSU get more credit for their FCS wins because they played good FCS teams (Bethune is 6-1). I have a version that does it based solely on winning and losing, too (MOVcap = 1), but I don't post that one.

Winning close games hurts your average (not as much as losing, though), and even playing 0- or 1-win teams will hurt you if you're a top 10 team, just because it's impossible to get a rating of 7+ for games like that.

I may end up making a poll that only uses FCS teams' records against FBS teams (BCU is 1-1 in FBS play).
